went to carmax to buy a car i had paid $*** to ship near me, finally arrives, they tried to up sell me $****** more than the listing of the car. the website lies about max care price. they lie about the sticker is the price you are gonna get. i am not paying msrp on a car that has 80,000 miles on it. *** is wrong with this company
CarMax service department service is horrible. They never answer the phone and the supervisor gave his extension and never answered. First of all CarMax has had my car since Thursday. So I was without a vehicle for over 5 days. No rental or loaner to give the day my car is supposed to be service is today which is 6/15 at 7:30 this morning. Bought car and was told to not write check,sales took all acct. Info.Car delivered next day.Two weeks later money still in acct.Called and was told they had wrong acct. info.Gave them correct info.Two weeks and funds still in acct.Next day we receive Notice of non payment and to either bring cashier's check or car back.We would be charged a return fee! Was able to wire money.Don,t try to call as I was disconnected three times.
If you choose to buy from this dealer make sure to bring your own financing. Carmax financing has been terrible. If you are late by one day they will continuously harass you for payment and will report you to credit bureaus even after paying. If you try to work something out, they will become rude, give you contradictory information, or just flat out lie. You will definitely see the nasty of side of the supervisors if you record the call. Everything about their practices screams unprofessional and even possibly illegal.
Carmax sold me a with a bad computer system, then got mad when I returned the car and denied me to buy another car. They’re customer service is great until after you buy the car. I had to keep calling for three weeks to get them to return the check and dispute the charge through my bank because they stopped responding. They then lied saying they couldn’t reach my bank to return the check but really they knew the foreign car had a bad compute system. Worse car ever. I bought a **** ****** ******. March 2021 was a year. It started with transmission problems. Now today Ling story short it at carmax for the 13 time. I'm sick of this yes I put miles on it due to work. Transmission 3 times alternator air coils ac tires etc could keep going. Now they refuse to give me a loaner vehicle. Sold me a flooded car. I returned it. Now on sale again.
Carmax sold me a truck claiming clean title and warranty, a month later I get a check engine light go to get it figured out and ford tells me it's a salvage title and there is no warranty on anything. $****** dollar truck and now I have no warranty and a salvage title. Unbelievable how disappointed I am with Carmax and they still won't help resolve the issue.
Worst customer service ever at Location 1131 central ave Duarte ca 91010. We run our credit application online for a car we liked at this location we got the approval after that they called us and texted use to book an appointment to go and buy the car so after two days when it was our appointment day they called us to confirm we are going there so we did confirm the time again and when we get there they told us to wait for the sales person so we waited almost about half hour and the drive over there take us about 45 min as ... read more
