Footnotes on my experience Waited over an hour after my appointment time to buy the car after spending $*** to ship it. Car had a broken seat (they tossed the part in the backseat), dead battery, and bad fuel tank which I wasn’t told until after signing. Found a car at Cincinatti location. Drove there, pre approved credit with ***% interest rate. They ran credit for comparable or better rate. Messed around so much, then told me my pre-approval wasn’t a valid approval and my ONLY financial option was with another company at **% interest rate. I said no way and left without purchasing. The last 4 cars that I have purchased have been from Carmax. I believed that their cars where truly 116+ points inspected as they state. Boy was I wrong. The last car I bought was a lemon. In the two years that I have owned the 2013 Vehicle, has been a nightmare. I have to bring the car back to them 15 times. I had purchased the extended warrantee, I did not know that the warrantee did not cover more that what the purchase price of the car was. I had previously purchased vehicle from the Irving, Texas location and had no problems, so when it came time for me to purchase another vehicle, I was confident that I would take my business to Carmax. I found a vehicle and went through the process seamlessly. I had gotten lender approval and was told my vehicle would be transported to a location near me to secure the purchase. I got a preapproval from them online for a certain amount which I could afford. I live an hour away and had to rent a ride to get to the carmax lot to get the car I had been approved for with the application. I get there and deal with the wait to do the test drive. Do the test drive and then we start paper work. That's when the issues began. They weren't using the original pre-apprival at all. I paid to have a car shipped from Denver to Albuquerque which took 12 days. It arrived on 6/30, and I was told by the sales person that it would take 3 days to verify VIN# and do inspections. With the holiday, I expected the car to be ready no later than the morning of 7/6. If I could give them a ZERO rating I would. Dealing with this dealership has been the worst nightmare I have ever experienced. We were literally sold a fixer upper. Initially they claimed to put a new battery in the car (**** ******** ****) just so we could test drive they said it had been sitting a while so we understood. After purchasing the car we took it back because it kept dying on us and they replaced the battery again. This place is a JOKE! My daughter purchased a vehicle on 6/9/2020 and had it sent back for issues 4 times. They told my daughter she had 7 days to return the vehicle , if there where issues with the car. She did return and they asked her to make an appointment sio the 7 days passed . I went to speak to a "service manger " Nathan C****** that had nothing but excuses. Despite all the color in this building this company was disgusting. The staff was the worse the customer service was absolutely non existent 1 hour 30 minute wait without being acknowledged by a single sales associate. I watched the African American customers go completely ignored and not talked to while customers of other races get helped with a smile.
