The store management is AWEFUL. I called at 8pm to ask if I could come in to the the appraisal done at 8:30, and the person said yes and booked the appointment for me and told me as long as I get there around 8:30 then they can appraise my car. I got there then they asked me to sit and wait for the consultant to come. I waited more than *********************************** saying their consultant is gone! I purchased a vehicle from Carmax last year and paid right $50K went to see what the trade in was on. it today to get something a little bigger and they offered me $20K after 12 months and 12K miles. Their excuse was that prices were inflated last year. The car is the same this year as it was last year and this is how they value cars. I will never suggest Carmax to anyone and I will never step foot on their lot again or any car lot associated with them.

I recently purchased a used truck from this carmax. The salesman was easy to work with and the sale went well. I was satisfied and thought the price was fair. However, the business office has been giving me a lot of trouble. They havent been able to get the registration in my name for whatever reason, 5 weeks after i purchased my vehicle. Dont buy a car from these people. I bought a car and still havent been to reach Carmax about resolving the issue. The gentleman that sold me the car has never returned my phone calls and is unreachable.

Very poor experience. I had financed a car at Carmax. A few days later my engine light came on. I took it back to get service and when I returned and picked up the car the car was nowhere to be found the man helping me asked me if I had a spare key and if maybe somebody that I know took the key and picked up the car. I told him no then he goes back to see if he can find the car comes back to me and told me the car has been stolen and for me to call the police and report a stolen car then he proceeded to hand me my keys to th... read more

i have a 2022 ******** and I went thru there questions and refused to make me an offer. I went in to there location and they tried to low ball me. I went to ******** and they offered the real value. Don't trust carmax

Should have read reviews and lawsuits before buying, purchased a 2018 cruze oct of 2022, oil was like 50% life left so needless to say I didn't bother getting an inspection etc done until then. I assumed carmax had done their special inspections before putting on lot. I go to shop when I'm due for oil change in april of 2023 and they informed me there was a huge oil leak underneath.
