My dog had an appointment on April 16, 2022 at Banfield in *******, **. I brought him in for health issues and they did basic blood work on him which found nothing. Upon checkout, we paid $167.18 for further blood work. Its been 2 months since that appointment, I never received the results or know if the samples were examined, and a vet (which they keep changing; my dog has seen 4 different ones) never called me to follow up or relay a treatment plan. My 12 yo lab had severe diarrhea. I took him to Banfield off ********** in ************* **. The tech stated without any tests he has parvo. They tested him. Showed positive. But very faint. I had to wait another hour for them to run to another location to get a test. They stated it was positive. Sent me to an emergency place. Once there a **** for treatment was $3900. My only hopes for this review is that it will save someone else from going to any banfield. Because we all know their company isnt fixing anything. Go to a local vet!! The services are over priced, a lot of staff should not be working in customer service let alone with distressed owners and sick pets. We joined an optimum wellness plan targeted for senior dogs last year. It seems great at face value. Until you realize how bad the vets are, how rude the staff are, and how you are locked in this contract receiving terrible ser... read more

I would have given negative rating to Banfield if it was a choice available. Rating is based on 12 yrs of experience for 2 pets and more so for recent months. I started with them 12 years ago while it was managed better by friendly vets. Now its a zoo where quality is poor. Nobody answers calls, or returns messages when service is needed. Okay for routine vaccines, but pet often needs more and if you need an appointment for emergency, they give you after several months!!! Banfield sells you on their Wellness plans with no charge for as many office visits as needed. The plan was great the first few years we had it. We had a vet we loved and were able to get in as needed. Unfortunately the vet we loved is no longer with Banfield and we can no longer get appointments when needed. My dog was very sick and when I called to get her in I was told, sorry we cant see her, we have no appointments available. No concern for my sick dog. The short story: My dog died. We still have to pay the monthly fee for her "wellness plan"The vet side of things is much like any other vet. Some good experiences, some bad. The BILLING and "Wellness Plan" side is a different beast and nightmare. There's no good.My 14 year old dog had been on the wellness plan since we first brought her home. *** DO NOT ENROLL IN WELLCARE ***understand your "prepaying" for services and the advantages suggested are not so advantageous if your paying for them befor you use them. If you miss an appointment, you loose, if you don't need medications you loose, if you need to cancel because of the insane cost of living and fuel..... you loose. Best to just avoid this altogether.

I am so ***et and livid with Banfield. I had sign up for a wellness plan for my dog a about a year ago. Was taking her in for regular check *** which was only 2 plus and extra one for a skin allergy. When I took her in for her last checkup she was her fine normal self when we dropped her off. Got a call that everything was normal and she was ready to be picked up. Then when my husband got there, something was horribly wrong. She couldn't walk, she was lethargic and we were told she may have internal bleeding and to go to the... read more

We have been waiting for our dogs test results for a week now, and I was informed the we will not get the results until the doctor that sent out the test was in the office. This is unacceptable. Our dog may have cancer and waiting a week for results we should have already received by now is asinine. The results should be available for any vet or vet tech to see so we can proceed with what needs to be done for our dog.
