When I lived in ******* before the pandemic I adored my Banfield location but when I moved back to ********** the nearest locations were an hour away. It was hard getting an appointment and they seemed ****** busy all of the time. It wasn't uncommon to show to my appointment and wait for hours to be seen. The last straw was at my last visit in August I was told they were expanding their stores and would be closed for a week. 0/10! Thieves, crooks, and liars. Continued charging my account after I tried to close it for over a year. Then sent me to collections for $400 more than I owed them! This is fraud and your whole company should be in jail. You're a disgrace.

I had two of my dogs registered there and I took one of my dogs for his regular shots and he was sneezing when we got there and they tried to charge us an insane amount saying they need to do an X-ray on him cause of his sneezing mind you we just took him for his shots. We decided to just cancel our account and they presumed to tell me that I had to call over the phone to do it. I called once I got home and I was told my account was cancelled. My 87 year old mother took her dog to Banfield in La Jolla for a dental cleaning. The office claimed she had no appointment but told her to leave the dog and they would work him in. She returned and was told they suspect heart trouble and to return the following week to have a specialist perform tests. She was suspect because he recently had a checkup. The following day I called to not renew the Wellness Plan. I have called 3 times to receive confirmation they will not charge her credit card in January 2023. I have not recei... read more

We had a puppy. We signed up for their wellness plan in ****. Then we gave the puppy too are son. But before we did we had him fixed. So I know we were going to pay for his procedure. But were going to cancel after that. I went too there office at ****** to pick up the puppy and had a discussion with the girl she told me I would have to talk to office. This facility is a complete joke! First of all no one told me it was a contract for a whole year, secondary they just told me that "they don't have to legally notify me when bills are due" I've received no email and it never showed up on my pets page about a past due balance. This is completely absurd way to treat customers. They don't have reviews open or on on ****** either, they don't want people to know this information!

They dont deserve any stars Takes months to schedule a simple appointment. They force me to renew plans for 2 of the 3 plans I have with them.Back in June I scheduled the teeth cleaning for the three of my dogs.One day before its suppose to be done Im called and told that theres no doctors that will be in to do it and that I have to reschedule ; and by rescheduling I will be put on a list for stand by for AFTER January.Im forced to take my dogs to a actual veterinary if something occurs or happens since vets have appointment... read more

My dog passed away on Tuesday and I called to cancel my optimum wellness plan that I was paying $65.99/month for 6 months, they were telling me to cancel and for it not to auto-renew in April I had to pay $396 to avoid charges for the next 6 months. I would have been fine paying it off if my dog would have received all the services that was part of the plan.
