My family and I flew into LA for a wedding and I stood in line for an hour to get my car and my brother went to Enterprise and was in and out in 5 minutes. Avis, you just lost a customer. What a crappy way to start my vacation.
Preferred and received an email with my car and spot number, but no car was there. Standing in line for an hour now. #avissucks
We arrived yesterday the 9the of July at 4.45pm and there was a waiting line for 2,5h. At least 200 people waiting with a car reservation in hand (so they couln't go elsewhere) and only 4 counters open trying to upsell insurances! Avis never again
What a bad customer service!... impossible to talk to a real person from this office without to be re-directed to the global center...
Shuttle pick up from airport was quick, but line at the rental building was ridiculous!! We had to wait over an hour to reach an agent at the counter. It was Saturday of a holiday weekend, so I knew it would be busy, but they only had 4 agents working out of 18 terminal stations! Absurd! Should have been better staffed. I will never rent from Avis again; I'd rather pay more at another company to get better service.
Waited forever for a bus and now there's a line of at least 50 people already of me at the office and I just counted 26 people in the line behind me. Reading reviews of people who waited 2-3 hours for a car they've already reserved (I have reserved and paid for it already.) Unacceptable and I will never use Avis at LAX again.
I will NEVER rent from Avis again. Unacceptable customer service.
