I needed to rent a car on short notice last night at LAX. (Hertz was closed at 9:15 p.m. and I should call back tomorrow BTW). The Shuttle Bus driver was efficient and funny. The agent in the rental center was fun and helpful. I especially liked the guy working in the lot at 10:00 PM at night. He got my car for me and even loaded my luggage. They will be my go-to car rental company from now on! Thanks Avis.
DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS!! THE WORST!! I made a reservation the day before I flew to LA. Once I landed and arrived in LAX, they told me they didn't have the type of car I reserved. I told them I wanted a small size luxury rental. After 3 wrong attempts (they kept giving me keys for SUVS) and a 2 hours wait (for what seems an eternity after a 6h long flight) they ended up giving me a humongous car. Second time having to wait for a pick up as I watch every other car rental service drive by at least twice! Then when you try to call you have to leave a message. Not sure how this helps me.
Another customer here with outrageous wait times and suspicious after charges. I would personally like to thank Agent Percy for getting me into this position and you the lackadaisical customer service at Avis for being unethical shady liars. 0 stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They have taken an unauthorised payment from our credit card after we returned the car and are refusing to refund it despite telling us there was no charge when we returned the vehicle and after we had twice refused the add on they have charged us for. Would give no stars if it was possible.
Service sacked. Waited over an hour to pick up a car. The lines were horrible. Only two people helping at the desk.
This wait is a nightmare! We are here for a family funeral and at this rate there is a good chance we might not make it in time to Santa Barbara. Flight landed at 11:30. It is now 1:30 after going straight to the shuttle and still waiting in line!! Rotten service.
Every last resource needs to be here! The line is out the door and you have mothers and children laying on the floor outside. Send out the bat signal, smoke signal, telegram, SOS everyone needs to be called in on their day off. This is unacceptable!
