First off...we arrived Saturday when the "computers were down" and waited for an hour in the 100 degree heat! We returned the car Monday morning at 6:00am and realized when we got back to Dallas that we had left a phone in our car! We have called every available number, left multiple messages, talked to a worthless customer service department and have gotten no where. OVER TWO HOURS TO PICK UP A PRE-PAID VEHICLE!? And your employees are understaffed and belligerent!? Going to Hertz from now on. Beyond rediculous.
Been in a queue for an hour and a half late at night with a young baby after an 11 hour flight. Apparently there is still another hour and a half wait! The drinks machine is broken and a member of staff refused to help. Absolutely disgusting. Tonnes of staff roaming around the car park but none on the desk.
I'm standing in line at Avis lax location with 50 other people and only 2 service agents when they have 16 service stations!!! Wtf Avis?? Customer service?? Non-existent!!
I would LOVE to give Avis 0 stars. We booked a car for $220 total. When we came to get the car the guy at the counter offered a $15 a day insurance, since being in LA we thought it was a good idea. The guy tacked on an additional $35 a day sneakily and without us being aware. A $220 car rental ended up being over $500. The girl at the counter said "you signed it". I was concerned when I read all of the negative reviews prior to my trip. I had an awesome experience with Avis LAX from beginning to end. The shuttle arrived within minutes to take us to the rental location. There was no line and we were in the car within 5 minutes. We even were allowed to choose our vehicle. The return process was just as smooth and my deposit was back on my credit card before I boarded my flight. I am a happy customer and will use Avis again for my next rental. Thanks Avis.
Rental line wraps around the building. There are benches and tables for family... Does this mean it is always like this???
I'm a preferred member, made my reservations a month in advance arrived and waited an hour and 45 min to get a vehicle. Others in line got into cars while I waited for mine to be washed. When asked about the delay was told they were "busy". Will not rent from Avis again. Not the first time Preferred status had no meaning
