Excruciatingly slow service and long lines with no explanation. I think that overbooked rentals and did not have enough cars. Will not use Avis again.

I will never rent from Avis again. My wife and I were in Dubai and Oman for our 1 year wedding anniversary. I had booked my car using the Avis website and had even confirmed our plans and arrangements on the phone with Avis employees in Dubai before picking our car up. It was not until I was about to leave the Avis facility in Dubai that they asked me what I am doing with the vehicle. I told them the truth and let them know I would be going to Oman. Very bad experience, I booked Crysta Innova, but they downgraded stating they don't have car, after few hours of haggling they gave broken 10 years old dirty , ugly car with missing ABS and internal + external damages ( market price of car which costs less than half). They did not help and charged me more than Chauffeur driven ( fuel included car ) in Mumbai. Totally unprofessional bunch of jokers. Totally discussed by Avis service. I hired a car for 43 days from Geneva airport it had to be done over 2 agreements as over 30 days however both agreements stated balance due nil. The payment was made via Holiday Autos. On returning home found Avis had taken 276.14 euros from my credit card for the second rental. I telephoned Avis Switzerland from South Africa on 16th Nov the help desk said that the second rental had not been allpcated to the voucher but would sortit. We ask you to please report as missing your car 80622986, It´s a Toyota Rav 4 grey, plates numer CA 7VGJ780, Enrique Garibay rented on Oct 4, he is missing in LA since oct 6 and already passed the 43 days that your policies mark, please give all the facilities to the police to access the videos and search system of the truck, there is a life in danger, please help. The family is desperate.
