Wish I had known that I would have to sit outside the LAX Avis for over TWO HOURS with my kids waiting for a car. If we hadn’t prepaid, I would have done ANYTHING else. There has to be a better way to do this. If I could do 0 stars, I would. Never again.
I hate blasting companies on social media but this insane! Standing out here for 30 mins, no Avis shuttle. 14 Hertz, 5 Budget, 5 Enterprise, 2 Aadvantage and countless others...Still no Avis! Taking a taxi to go pick up my rental, gonna cost me $20! My husband waited out yesterday for 40 mins! Then waited over an hour at your counter for a car! My first time waiting in a line for over an hour to get to the rental counter. I felt like I was in a ride at Disney land.

Update: Submitted a long heartfelt message only to receive what seemed like a canned response. Horrible customer service all the way to the top!!! Horrible experience. First car would not stArt. Rude customer service rep. Made me unpack all my bags and trudge back down to the office in the heat to get another car. On turn in day they leave me alone at the end of one lane to take care of other customers. I asked four people to help and they said I would have to wait. Do not rent here. I prepaid for my Avis reservation via Priceline (conf # 14915234US5), but I was charged $200+ on my cc afterwards. They claim I had the car for two extra days and won’t take my boarding pass and ticket as proof that I returned the car on time and wasn’t even in LA when they say I returned the car. Total moneymaker my fraud show. One shuttle bus every 20 min, a 40 person line for cars on mid-day Thursday. I thought I was making a good choice avoiding the smaller rental companies...what a bad, bad decision.
