Total shambles with Avis, LAX - pre paid and selected car only to find they don’t have any in the category we have booked - been waiting well over an hour for a car to be found. Obviously we will use Hertz next time.
I rent a car (Rental Agreement Number U732097693) and returned it on 14th june 2018 in LAX. I've just received a letter from your Operational Team saying you discovered burns, stains, in the rear seat; the same ones I found when I picked up the car in San Francisco on 1st June. You say my credit card will be billed $150.00. I'm totally disappointed. First you gave me a dirty vehicle with burns and stains, then you make me pay for this. Long slow line. 1am. Only 1 bench and 1 chair. 50 people online. Absolutely insanely slow.
Do not rent here. They charged us 50% more than we agreed upon. Their service is terrible.
Waited at LAX for over 30 minutes for a bus. Saw about a dozen Hertz and others and the only other Avis bus I saw was packed and didn’t stop. They need more buses and drivers. Customer service was no help. They need to be able to track when the buses will arrive and where. The tech is available, why won’t they implement?
Rented a car in Denver. I asked specific questions about charges, and was out and out lied to. Will never rent from Avis again. The customer service there is a joke. When you can get hold of someone, no one had the authority to help you. A manager never seems to be on site. Beware of this company!
What has happened to AVIS in LAX? Booked through COSTCO? Waited a long time for airport pick up while the competitors vacate circled several times. I feel horrified and shocked. I had booked my car rental via Expedia and paid around £55 for a two day car rental. On arrival and at the time of collecting car, I was given the option of taking a waiver insurance. I refused and subsequently the gentleman showed me a copy of contract that included £1000 excess charge if were to make a claim. I felt horrified and opted (sort of forced) to sign up for a new agreement that included an additional payment of £86.
