Get directionsI rented a vehicle knowing that mileage was not unlimited, however, I wasn't worried about it because I knew I wouldn't be much over the included amount. They told me I drove nearly 3500 miles. I had the vehicle 4 days..my destination was 605 miles away. I drove close to 1500 miles and not 3500!! Apparently I should have took pictures of the mileage because now I am being charged almost $600 just for the extra miles!! On top of the $391 I paid to rent the vehicle!! The line is HOURS LONG. I am in line writing this review. Avis customer support told me there was literally nothing they could do. This Avis location has BY FAR the worst treatment of customers I have EVER seen ANYWHERE. Total disregard for their customers. HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES. NOTE TO AVIS: YOU WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS IF YOU CONTINUE TO RUN A BUSINESS THAT PUTS CUSTOMERS LAST. PATHETIC AND SAD.
Why is your line hours long at 2am? What’s the point of a “friendly reservation” if you can’t deliver to your customer in a reasonable way? I need a full refund on my reservation. I’m in town for a funeral so I’m hoping you can spare me the runaround and make this simple.
Long wait at the counter because they didn't have enough help. Didn't have the car type I reserved. But to top it all off I am getting charged for damages and they won't tell me what they are, show any proof or anything. They just drafted my card on file and won't help me.
We were tricked into signing for a very expensive insurance. It was said it was a safety deposit, but we were never refunded. When I complained, they stated we had bought insurance! The lady at Avis Faro Airport (Portugal) said up to 4 times that we did not have to worry, and that we would get it all back, since it was a safety deposit. Trying to rip me off for an upgrade I didn't ask for when the car I booked and paid for in advance was unavailable in Chicago when we went to pick it up . Now credit card shows pending charge of €956 for an upgrade l never asked for in fact I told agent in Chicago I didnt want an upgrade only the class of car I prepaid for. If you don't have the car I booked and paid for in advance its your contractual responsibilty to provide me with an alternative vehicle at no extra cost to me .
