Reserved a car using Avis Preferred Points (as a President's Club member) for 1 day of a 5 day rental. Decided it might be helpful to leave early and asked AVIS to change my reservation from 11 am to 9 am (by 2 hours!) without a change in date. They refused. And, in order to cancel and start over again, I was offered the opportunity to pay a $50 cancellation fee. Never got this kind of treatment from National. Do not recommend AVIS.
Dont rent from avis they charged me extra $500.00 for a 2 day rental. The truck was in bad shape and tires were on there last thread. I'm so pissed that I'm going to spend the rest of my day posting how avis robbed me .

RecommendedI forgot my purse in my rental and the employees turned it in to the office and I was able to catch a transport back, get my purse and get back in time to catch my plane. Nothing was touched in my purse, very honest employees! Thanks Avis!

picked up a car for 230 something for a dat, i dropped the car off within 24hrs, my credit card got charged for 460. I called, they refunded only 193. never again will I do business with this co. not recommended
I just rented a car in los angeles got home to charge of £100 for no reason and they wont even explain what its for rubbish AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The waiting time is unacceptable. I waited more than an hour to be served. The agent insisted i buy their insurance. He said if i did, I would not have to go through inspection. I can just drop off the car and walk away. DO NOT ever agree to this. I was charged $75 because there was dirt in the car. They use a bright light and of course, there will be dust in the car. I did not go to the beach or anything. They advertised their rental as $29 a day. My charge for 3 days was $246.32. Do not ever rent from Avis. Please.
