Later flight, so I tried to extend our car rental for 1 hour. Avis was more than happy to extend my agreement for $23 per hour on a low demand Tuesday —- If they had the car rented, I could understand...but it will just sit there! Avis is ending our vacation on a low note, they do NOT understand customer service!
Avoid this car rental. An absolute joke, you wait 30-45 mins to get a rental you have prebooked online. NEVER AGAIN!
They had about 300+ people waiting in line to get rentals so it took them about 2.5 hours to get to me, the car that they gave me was great, they had great professionalism and apologized for the wait.
Please advice if anyone faces this same issue? This happened me twice in Avis Hobby Airport location. I dropped my car well before the end of my rental period with full tank of gas. They charged me extra for fuel service. Also, at the time of drop off, I enquired with the executive out there to make sure everything was good and if I need to pay anything extra. Horrible. 63 people in line and 3 clerks working. Had to wait an hour to get a car. Horrible.
No cars available with our reservation. Willing to upgrade us buuuuuuut we'd have to pay the upgrade fee. I see why they get 1.7 � rating here.
