There is a line a mile long this is ridiculous. Don't rent with Avis in LAX.
We flew into LA in Friday, arrived at Avis at 2:00 pm. When we arrived the line was out the door wrapped around the building! It took 2 hours to get our car!!���While my husband was getting our car he overheard some employees talking about making us wait until the cheap cars arrived so they wouldn't have to upgrade! We stood in the hot sun for 2 hours, no drinks, no kind employees to try to make the wait bearable, and no compensation offered! We we did get was a dirty car, and 2 hours late to where we had to be! 2 hours wait to get to the counter, 1 hour outside the building in the hot sun. Even the manager disappeared- not a service you would expect from a company that wants to try harder. With hundred plus rentals a year, I am a premium member with Hertz, National and Sixt and will stay with them in the future .
This is the worst . I’ve been waiting nearly an hour with Avis Preferred with about 30 people in line waiting to get their vehicles. The reservation clearly stated keys in the car and go. Can you fix this please and thank you .
Seriously what is the point of having preferres only to wait a long time ..longer than non preferred cuatomers. One comouter working...not good
looks like They are very concerned about the customers fitness that they made me walk back and forth to the parking. They sent an email saying the car is ready at parking 105 and the board says the same. When I reach there there is no car. When I go to the counter, they do not know if there is a car or not. And don't know when they can get it ready. Their shuttle service from Airport to the rental car facility is not very frequent. I wish there is a rating which is lesser than 1 so that I can rate it.

Do not rent from Avis Car Rental. They explain to you that it is unlimited mileage as long as you fill the tank up upon return. Then when you return the vehicle they check and make sure that it's full, mark on your receipt that it's full, but then charge you anyway, and make you jump through hoops, printing out bank statements and receipts from the gas station proving that you really filled up the gas tank. Absolutely ridiculous and I will be disputing the charge on my credit card.
