We arrived at AVIS LAX on Friday (15th Sep) at 7pm and it took us almost 2 hours to get our car. The service was terrible, no support or explanations to customers. WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!! We will never use AVIS again.
Waited for what seemed like forever for the shuttle to pick up from airport. That 20 minutes was nothing compared to the hours spent waiting at the rental center for vehicles that were not actually available. When we arrived, the line was wrapped around the building with customers who, like us, also had reservations booked weeks in advance. The best part of the experience was laughing at the shuttles driving by with the "cars available" sign still lit up at midnight with hundreds of people still waiting for those "available"... read more
Massively over booked. 2+ hour wait with a reservation.
Have rented cars in many places and from all the major rental companies. Never had as bad an experience as AVIS at LAX. 45 minutes in line and received a dirty car. Not worth standing in line again to try and exchange the car. Never renting from AVIS again.
Great Service! Friendly personel, easy procedures and very short waiting time. I have rent an Nissan Altima for 3 weeks. The car was very clean and in best condition. I used for an 11500 km (7145 miles) drive without problems. The service and the prices are much better than in germany. ( In germany they make always a big issue when you rent a car and it is very expencive wie no free millage and limited insurance.) Thank you! With this great expirence next year i am again avis customer in the US.
Eventually got my car after waiting in line for over an hour. Too many people wanting cars and not nearly enough help at counter. Bus overpacked creating safety issue. NEVER AGAIN AVIS. Going back to Budget or Dollar for same car and NO HASSLE.
Stood here for 30 minutes and line is not moving. What is the point of making a reservation if it will take 2 hours to rent a car. I can just walk.
