I have a pending charge on my credit card for tolls when I arrived back in the UK when I was told when I dropped my car off that there was no extra charges still waiting to hear back from customer services
I'd give this negative stars if I could. Arrived at Avis and waited for almost two hours, was misdirected and lied to, and didn't the car I reserved. Will never rent with Avis again.
Really. I am waiting for hours to get me car? This will be the last time I use Avis. A Very ill service.

Worst service and do not hold bookings, do not use these guys! We had booked a car in January, they didn't have the type of car we booked, offered to downgrade at no extra charge or upgrade at twice the price! Wow!
Buyer beware! this place in cahoots with Priceline is a huge ripoff. I agreed to a rental price of $122.00 plus a tank of gas and by the time they got done with me they have charged me $259.80, I'm sorry but there is no way anyone can add enough stuff on to double the price of a weekend rental. Never never again! Priceline and AVIS is OFF my list of businesses I will frequent! I am just sick to my stomach about this, I have never in my life been treated so shabbily by a company who is supposed to be reputable!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON'T GO HERE! We flew in from DC at 1am, got to Avis and the line up was out the door. We waited almost an hour and the 4 people being served still had not been assigned a vehicle. There were families with babies waiting, staff were so unhelpful and no one had any idea why the wait was so long, especially at such a late hour. We ended up getting an Uber and changing our whole weekend plans. Such a horrible experience. NEVER BOOK WITH AVIS IN LA!!!
Worst rental experience ever. Reserved online. Arrived after 6 hour flight and no car available. When something was available we were told we had to "run to the car because someone else might take it". Added insurances that we stated we did not want and did not request. Agent changed our reservation without our knowledge. Charged nearly double the original amount to our credit card. Customer service is a joke. Contacting BBB about the deceitful business practices.
