About this business

The Austin Humane Society (AHS) is Austin's largest no-kill, non profit animal shelter and dog and cat adoption center. Each day, we have hundreds of cats and dogs in our shelter that are looking for a second chance at love and a family. We serve close to 8,000 animals each year through our both our adoption program and free feral cat spay and neuter clinic. AHS receives no city, state or federal funding, and relies solely on the support of individuals and businesses in our community.

I found a stray cat in San Antonio in a parking lot and I brought her home to help her. After reaching out to many organizations in my town, with no help, I reached out to Austin Humane Society and within a Day I received an email back saying they would love to help the sweet kitty out. This was just an amazing response during the holiday season. Whoever adopts her will be lucky to have the best sweet, loud purring motor, lap kitty ever.

I volunteer here and the animals are treated with love and care. Time is taken to help those who have challenges improve and to play, train and socialise with dogs.
