So I went to a location in Pinole California. I ordered some glasses from them about a year ago. I had an emergency I broke my glasses I found a place that can make me some glasses on the spot. I did not have my prescription with me. I called America's Best to see if they could give me a copy of my prescription. I was told they cannot send it to my personal email but can send it to a public fax machine. Makes so much sense but okay. I give the fax number. I was actually writing a letter to send to the CEO of America's Best when I discovered this webpage and began reading the reviews. It is apparent substandard employees are what this company hires and maintains. They claim to offer same day appts but when you go in they tell you there are no appts until mid July. How are you going to advertise walk-ins and same day appts and when people come in the employees tell you 8 weeks? They actually don't even deserve one star!!!! Horrible place that lies and takes your money!!! I went to the suffolk, va location and was told I needed glasses and contacts, well the contacts were a hot mess, having to get several different ones because they were blurry. They ordered me a air optics pair which I waited 6 months for just to call and she said they were on back order, amazing how they came in within 2 weeks after that call, came home and put them in and I couldn't even see one thing; my eyes were super blurry s... read more

Company does not serve the 40% of Americans who have astigmatism, and don't tell anyone when selling the service contract. Further, it's happened to me twice, where they pretend they are ordering trials, yet then it turns out they are back ordered for 6-8 weeks, then you have to buy something to get you by, then they only have six month boxes of contacts, ultimately, the astigmatism trials never come. Went in wearing a CDC approved Gaiter double layer mask, bought $578 worth of glasses and returned wearing same mask to pick the prescription up when ready... no problems. went back 1 week later for a quick adjustment again wearing my USA flag double layer Gaiter style mask and was told they are not acceptable and was handed a paper thin blue CVS brand disposable mask that clearly was inferior. I went to the location on San Jose in Jacksonville FL. Because I young they decided they would talk to me. I have been up there to get contacts now 3 different times and still do not have contacts. They are rude, nasty and flat out disrespectful. I have reached out so many times and havent gotten no where. They all lie and tell me to come back in there and once i drive there they tell me they don't have a Doctor on site and can sell me anything.

Under staffed. And extremely rude at store 5292. I called about picking up some glasses & got snapped at and hung up on after the woman expressed to me once again that they were under staffed and I told her that she shouldn't take her frustrations out on others & that she wasn't even giving me the right information. My wife and I purched glasses and contacts right before covid had started. I decided after trying the trial contacts they gave, that I wouldn't wear the contact. The store had closed for a month or so. When contacting the manager I said I would not be able to come anytime soon because of covid and that I wanted to return the contacts Her reply was font worry about it when you and your wife come in for your next check up and your wife decides to get contacts again we will credit your pirched toward hers.
