I purchased a car from the location in Marietta, GA in December 2019. I was in a wreck on February 5,2022 and the car was totaled. I've called 4 times to get the payoff to be told they'd send it in an email. The email never comes. On 12/1/21 they reported to the credit bureau I owed a little over $14k. I made payments in December and January. Today my insurance company calls about submitting payment to them. I ask what my payoff is. She tells me $17708. I been with American car center for 5-years and now that i only owe 2966.33 they telling me i can't make a payment because i don't live in Memphis anymore i live in Texas and i been here since OCT and i been making payments with no problem they are to make me pay in full now because of where i live. That isn't right at all

This business needs to be shut down for their shaking business deals. As soon as they ran my credit and had all the information, I was told I could have any car on lot. Then I was told I would need to have a co-signer due to my income. Add someone as a co-signer giving a total income of over 70k. Apparently, that still wasn't good enough and days later I'm watching the vehicle being towed/repo and my hard own money not being refunded due their negligence and lack of communication

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SNEAKY BUSINESS. I was in a wreck TWO YEARS AGO and paid off my fees and charges and went else where to look for a new vehicle because they one I had was a lemon. There were problems from the start with the car, including engine damage and tire rod problems. I Wish I could leave 0 Stars This Company as a whole is trash. so much I could say where do I start I have my car for little over a year wasn't late not one time I lost hours at my job do to Covid. The car alternator went out I ask them could they help to fix it they agreed with a side loan I agreed to it thinking it wouldn't be much. Oh! The experience I was provided from this company was terrible and I advised them that I had Covid and that I needed documents for Divorce court showing that I made the payments from the company American Car Center. I was given diversion after diversion and when a document was sent to my email it was the wrong document. I have asked to change the terms of the contract which I was given a yea from another agent stating once I caught up which I did submit a $800 payment to catch up. I purchased a car from this company and was told there was warranty for the car power train and drive train and two months later my transmission and the Motor mounts went out on this car and this company had me look all sorts of crazy first they lied on the mileage and switch it at the time of purchase so when the repairs were needed they claimed I was over in my Miles 3000 to be exact which is ludicrous so they wouldn't repair it so I asked to be placed in a vehicle of same value and this company still decline. I made the mistake of buying from these people. The staff in Clarksville TN are very friendly and helpful but when dealing with the main company in Memphis, it's a horrible experience. 1. Leasing a car is a bad idea 2. They have no heart. It's all about making money. Which means taking advantage of people. 3. They only report to one credit agency which doesn't help build your credit rating. 4. These people are a joke! They harass you to make a car payment and threaten default then refuse money of any kind. I'm trying to pay online cause I have a full-time job,and the website is down and u try to call nobody wanna answer and they lied saying they don't take partial payments and yet I made a partial payment after being lied to about them not taking partial payments. I will take these losers to court.
