I have rented with Tricon for years, since they took over from the previous company. Ive been in the same home for over 6 years and have the most frustrating time dealing with this company. The maintenance request portal is horrible for following up on requests; the information either isnt correct or completely missing and there are never any notes. Calling isnt any better because their staff has no idea what theyre looking at either. On top of that, they use the cheapest labor they can find that do half a** jobs and dont cl... read more

Our move-in was set an entire month in advance, but we werent told until less than 48 hours beforehand that the house wasnt ready. Now less than 24 hours before our second promised move-in, again were told that the house isnt ready. Weve been timely with everything Tricon required from us- deposit, rent, insurance and utilities. Tricon has responded by treating us like a nuisance.

We are attempting to move out of a Tricon rental on 1/5, and there has been a whole list of issues since the day we moved in 5/1/20. We were not sent info about move out until Thursday 12/23 afternoon (before a federal holiday) at which point the person in charge of our lease left the office and is out until 1/5 so we have went through h*** trying to get any answers to our questions. So we applied for a house, AFTER calling and talking to someone about the requirements. We were told we'd just have to pay extra security deposit, but she saw NO reason for us to get denied. 2 days and $360 later we were denied... I would NOT have applied had I not been lied to over the phone about requirements. So $110 WASTED. They said the $250 hold was being refunded, but I am NOT holding my breathe after reading these BBB reviews.... scam artists

False advertising from the start. While starting an application online there was a calendar option to pick a date, within a date range, to move. I selected a date, and the application proceeded. After approval (with a perfect 10 year rental history AND good credit they wanted 1.5x deposit) I was told that I only had 14 days to take the lease on the property, cutting 9 days off the original date from the application. We rented from this company for several years after they bought out the previous company managing the home. Leases were regularly sent with incorrect information, ie. amounts and names of tenants. We chose to break lease early to purchase a home. I was proactive and called to get all the details and steps needed to make sure it went smoothly. Absolutely unacceptable. Our rental property had a leaking pipe from the water heater which resulted in mold in the home. We promptly notified Tricon of the issue and asked for resolution. Today marks day ******************************************************************************************* the home, leaving my small child living in a home with exposed electrical and insulation for several weeks after also having my entire family being exposed to active mold for more than a month. Be very careful with this company.Keep all receipts, emails and records of everything. Ask for copy of move-in-inspection when it is complete to verify it is accurate. On move out, take pictures to validate condition and ask for a copy of the move out inspection. We rented from them 2020 to 2021. When we moved out, we followed the move out checklist to the tee.
