Before applying, try to get a detailed cost of the lease. I applied and was shocked to see an additional $86ish a month on the lease cost once the paperwork was sent over to sign; $16 for the smart home monitoring and $35 each month for our two pets, in addition to a $500 pet fee up front. These fees were mentioned in the terms for the background check, but not with a specific amount. Tricon puts the Con in Tricon. Just avoid the regret now and lease from someone else.

I am writing this review in hopes that someone from this company will finally communicate with me and get the lease sent over for the house, I really liked the house when I went to view it and would prefer not to have my application cancelled and holding fee money wasted due to the negligence of the people dealing with my application and lease. Where do at began...So I have been renting with this company for almost 6 years. There has been a rent increase of at least $50 each year. But the real issue here is the lack of accountability from the company.I received 3 months of COVID rental assistance from the county in which I reside. Tricon stated they only received one month payment and only credited me for 1 month. So for an entire 2 months I received late fees as well as balance due on my account. Worst residential company ever! My experience is similar to the previous complaint, we were given a date of 07/01/2021 as a move in date (My wife who was literally due anyday and my 3 kids). The day before we move in 06/30/2021 we had to call them for them to tell us we couldn't move in until 07/08/2021. Horrible! I have a continuous problem with a Tricon American Homes / Tricon Residential resident. I have to make repeated phone calls to management regarding the lack of maintenance to the yard. Management has gone M.I.A., ignores my calls and emails. Tricon obviously doesn't care whether or not the home they are renting is taken care of. I guess that's a positive thing for a potential renter! If you're looking for a home to rent that you don't want to take care of, your best bet would be this company! We applied for one of their properties earlier this month that was listed to be available 6/18/21. We get approved a few days later. After receiving the lease, we are notified the property won't be available until 6/23/21. They reported the 18th was a tentative date - I was understanding even though the word "tentative" wasn't anywhere on the website. Although frustrating because we wanted to move on the 18th as we knew we would be out of the state from 6/24-6/29 and our current lease would be up on 6/30, we still went ahead... read more

House is falling apart, was told the company only allows so much money to fix each house. Not let us fix the problem, but you need to prioritize whats the biggest problem, then fix the rest yourself. They openly engage in predatory practices, and I would strongly recommend renting with literally anyone else. Military: BASE IS BETTER! **** WITH THE ****! Trust me!

This company is a scam! Paid them 250 plus app fee nobody will call me back or tell me that I was approved then once I found out I was approved after still not getting a phone call they requested that I pay them 2580 for a deposit and sign the lease when I have yet to speak to someone or even see the house and since we did not pay they canceled the application and took our 250.00 still waiting a call from **** or the so called owner of the company have been called several times and ****** will call me I was supposed to get a... read more
