RecommendedTo give you an idea of how often I was admitted to Mercy Hospital.....this year has been titled "The Summer That NEVER was" As much time as I spent "living" at this hospital, some of the reviews surprised me. The staff are amazing!! The nurses that have been taking care of my father during this time are truly incredible! Thank you for everything!!
They have taken care of me through my cancer journey and are now taking care on my husband through his heart journey. There are not enough stars for me to rate this hospital, it is a home away from home. The nurses are special and the Dr's are top notch.
My review isn't all bad... The nurses were amazing... But... I went in for mental health reasons, and I was kept waiting in the ER for 2 days... I didn't sleep... Because I can't sleep with all the noise... It wouldn't have been that bad, but no one told me anything... It turned out they were just waiting for a bed, but nobody told me that. I just felt like I didn't matter and like no one cared. I would like to give a shout out to the nurse Joelle... She was incredible!! But the rest of my experience there was awful. This review is experience with ER situation and is not reflecting the hospital itself or staff. Mercy hospital you need better or even some signage that tells ppl wth to do when coming into WR. Omg stress. The ER lot and doors are blocked off and nothing visible telling u where the hell to go. I had to park where the Ambulances come in leave my car running since my mom can't walk from across the street to get to the hospital entrance. There was no other option. Even tho I was rushed in by paramedics, for attempt of suicide I still was taken care of very well by the nurses and the doctors were phenomenal!!
How many times do you think it is reasonable for a nurse to try and place the SAME catheter on a patient before they go get a new one or get some help? My husband said his nurse tried4x w/ the same catheter before getting another nurse to help. When you said the temporary nurses were able to taktake care of patient well you were wrong. I will be filing a complaint with Mercy on his behalf
