I ordered a handful of things from American eagle (which I never do , I ONLY come here and order from here for my husbands shorts) I ordered a swimsuit for an upcoming trip I have. The swimsuit came without and liner and **** USED. I would go into more detail but youd probably gag like I did when opening it. I immediately took a picture and emailed American eagle. I will attempt to express how disgusted I am with this company’s customer service .. I attempted to enter there store in FTL coral ridge mall .. I has stopped by a young sales girl who essentially blocked me from entering by asking if I had any questions for her and what I was looking for .. I made it clear by saying no. I have been shopping with this business for 10 years plus. As of the recent 5 years this companies quality of products and customer service have fallen immensely. When you order they’re clothes and they come in the mail looking worn/used/ and unwrapped in 0 packaging then it’s time to reevaluate your company. I can't say enough bad things about their horrible customer service. Problem #1 my poorly made AE shirt melted in the dryer and they refused to replace it. Problem #2 I discovered a hole on my brand new poorly made AE shirt after purchasing and they refused to mail me a replacement even though it was during COVID and all stores were closed. #3 I placed an order and tried to cancel 3 hours later (mind you AE takes forever to ship out items so it's not like they were packed already) and they refused to be helpful. I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but it looks like my problem is a common occurrence worth noting. I made a $250 purchase on 11/30, included was my daughters boots for her birthday. It was shipped on the 3rd and would be delivered by 12/10. Well, that date came and went and decided I'd just gift them for Christmas. Looked today at tracking and it states "arriving late". Placed order on November 28, 2020. It was shipped on December 2nd, 2020. It is now December 10, 2020 and I have yet to see it. I went to live chat and the individual was extremely slow with reply. She took over 5 minutes to look up my order number just to come back with " it says it's delayed"... well, Giselle, thank you for throwing some common sense my way that I obviously already knew as to WHY I even wasted my time in Live chat. I orderd 20 items from them, of which 4 showed up. When I called about the other 16 items they told me there was nothing they could do but cancel the order and make a new order. I ended up just canceling the order. They tried to make it right and gave me 20% off and free 2 day shipping. I made another order but did not get the 2 day shipping. Again...nothing they can do but cancel the order and make a new one. Sounds like a fishy way to run up charges to me...I am done with this company! They don't deserve the business!!!!

This company is an absolute joke ! First off I literally order thousands of dollars worth of clothes from this company a year and hundreds of dollars worth of clothes from them a month. I ordered a sweatshirt that was supposed to be here by today and was never even shipped out so I contacted the company and they said they would refund my money for the product.. I told them I don’t want a refund I just want the product sent to me and overnighted ..since it was never shipped out in the first place.. well they apparently refund... read more

I realized soon after I ordered that I needed to change the shipping address. (My nephews were not going to be at my brothers after all.) In any case, AE refused to either update the shipping address or cancel the order, so that I could start over. I will not order again from American Eagle!
