Worst customer service possible. Items not delivered and told to put in my own claim with the delivery company vs the store helping. When I asked what I need from the shipping company to prove non delivery and be able to get a refund, I was told the likelihood of them reversing a decision on a refund even with the notice was unlikely. I had to again ask for what was needed to prove non delivery and no one could tell me. A third ticket was entered to try and find out. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I had two dresses to return 6 days after purchasing them. I had the original receipt as well as the credit card that I used to make the purchase. ***** whom happened to be at the register and claimed that she was the store manager asked me for my drivers license to complete the return. When I refused to present my ID based on the fact that the dresses were never worn with tags on accompanied by the receipt, she stated that in order to do the return she had to have my personal info in the system which is a total scam. My son went to return merchandise at American Eagle. He had the receipt the original receipt all tags were on the clothing. I am an American eagle loyalty customer with my phone number you can get into my account and see all. My son had access to all of that, but he did not have the credit card American Eagle credit card that the items were charged on. All information is on the receipt. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Placed an order, 2 days later showed shipped and now 8 days later it has still not been picked up by a carrier. Customer service was no help at all. Spoke with a supervisor and that wasn't any better. They will not issue a refund until after 14 days and have no resolution to my problem. They offered to let me place the order again with free overnight shipping, but were going to make me pay for the order again!!! No way would I trust them to get the second order to me and have $600 tied up. W... read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Let me just preface this by saying I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars here but I will never shop with them again after this. I literally just placed an order for $420 on 11/20 with 2 day shipping and still had not received it by 11/30. However, this review is not about that but rather the worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my entire 33 years on this Earth. They wasted over 2 hours of my life that I cant get back. I have no problem with the quality of the clothing; however, I recommend buying in person at their stores and NOT online unless you are willing to pay significantly extra and choose two-day arrival guarantee. Otherwise, your order will be shipped through their own AirTerra system, which is unreliable. I have had two orders lost through this system after being scanned into a facility that transfers packages to an unknown “last mile” distributor. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. It’s crazy how all the reviews are my experience as well, I shop with American eagle very fequently, I usually spend over 100$ A Order and it’s like it means nothing. I ordered a pair of jeans, they sent me a tank top? Horrible customer service!!! Needed to exchange a pair of pants bought online so contacted literally 5 mins after an hour and they refused to exchanged for a size bigger as I realized I bought a size too small and they hadnt shipped it yet now I have to figure out how to get them to fit my son for pictures as we dont have an American Eagle store in our area and the closest is 3 hours away. Lastly, you have to pay for a return label. I wont order from this store again.

Beware of any online orders. If it’s being shipped through Lonestar or FedEx, you won’t receive a thing you’ll have to wait 14 days after the last update of your shipped item just to even receive a refund and you’re not guaranteed a replacement of those items. Terrible customer service terrible way to go about business. Even Amazon issues a refund in 3 to 5 business days after an item isn’t received. American Eagle *****.
