If there was an option to only give half a star that's what I would choose. I had the WORST experience with American Eagle after ordering online. Customer service was no help whatsoever and she was rude as can be. The ordering, processing and shipping procedures with these people are dismal at best. It took them 5 days just to create a label for my order and keep in mind that I only ordered 2 items! Their website constantly freezes up and apparently cannot understand a simple command. They had a sale going which was 40% off all sweatshirts. I grab one off the shelf that was clearly labeled sweatshirts and had the sale sign in the middle of the table. So I went up to the counter to pay and it was full price so I said is this not on sale? And the lady checking me out called over another women to see if it was in sale but it wasn’t. Wife placed an order for jeans through Paypal Credit. Order never shipped. Called to cancel order. Was told the jeans were out of stock and order would cancel automatically. Jeans came in mail the next day. Brought jeans to the store to return them. Store couldn't find order number. Store worker called company help line. Company help line apparently told them my order status on Paypal would go from "pending" to gone. The store kept the jeans. AE VISA is the slowest processing card out there! If you make too large of a payment, being the good customer you are, they penalize you for it. They will not make available credit out of your payment for 9 days! They will accept your money. Mark it PAID! But will still not release the funds for use. BEWARE! If you pay your bills this card is not for you!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company is the worst clothing company I have ever purchased items from. 1. If you order multiple items of clothing online, they send you the pieces in separate plastic bag, packages. It's unorganized and wasteful for the environment. 2. They claim you'll receive a free return shipping label if you spend a certain amount of money; however, they never provide you with the label. Had a promotion that said “all jeans and joggers but one get one 50% off”. Tried to buy a pair of jeans and a pair of joggers and no promotion. Was told by customer service that only certain styles were included. How do you justify saying “all” and then saying only a few styles count? False advertising.

Ordered a Christmas gift for my sister and 6 days later my order got canceled. Email states that there is no more quantity left. Bought a different item and 3 days later get an email saying order is canceled due to no more quantity... Spent around 100$ on 2 canceled orders in close to 10 days and still haven't gotten my money back for the canceled items. Now I'm out 100$ And still have no Christmas gift for my sister.

Very DISAPPOINTED in how Corporate has handled, (or better said their total disregard) for an ongoing issue I've been trying to resolve for 2 months now. Long story short, I live in a residential building, I ordered clothing for vacation, UPS 'delivered' and left my package in the lobby of where I live, the package was stolen, I opened a claim with UPS, I actually filed a police report, I contacted AE customer service, and although the many reps I came across were sympathetic to my issue they could not move forward in issuin... read more
