I would not give any stars!!! Not only are the nurses rude bbut to refuse to even talk to a loveone about a patient is wrong!! My gf was hit by a car today and she started to throw up blood and urine had blood in it and was in pain...they let her Sit for hours in pain. She as been there for 6+ hours and still no doctor?!! No stars at all!!!!winter Haven hospital is not friendly or caring they are there for a paycheck. That is sad. If Lakeland was closer we would have went there! Lakeland 20 stars.
Was in the hospital for 6 hours.... Took them 4 1/2 hours to tell me what was going on... I have gall stones and a UTI and I waited to see a doctor for 2 hours and didn't see one. I asked to be discharged. Waited for them to discharge me for 2 hours. I never heard anything back so I walked out. I live an hour and a half away and I called the next day to see what I needed to do and get my information and they refused to give it to me so I could go to a local hospital. Got here with my husband at 4pm it is now 10pm still waiting. Top of his finger is missing, still bleeding still no doctor.
Every time I phone the hospital the call center people, who route the incoming calls, are always friendly and polite, and always very helpful. Thank you!!
Absolutely the worst wait time! We just moved to Polk County and hopefully this is our first and very last visit to Winter Haven Hospital. Over 3 hours in a waiting room that only had 4 other patients (thank God they were not busy). Just got into the room now at 5am (since we got here at 1:30 am) and oh boy it looks like we are in for another couple of hours!!
This is the worst emergency room operation I have ever seen! I would not suggest coming here if you have an emergency, I have been in the waiting room for the last eight hours and have yet left the waiting room. I came in here with chest pains and was prescribed a drug seven hours ago, but cannot receive it because I have not made it back to the bed area yet!!!!! Luckily It must not have been a heart attack or I would be dead by now! I will write again if I ever make it in.
