This is very sad. It will take a death of someone waiting in this emergency room and someone actually noticing hours later. I spent three hours yesterday and signed myself out as well as many others who desperately needed help. The first 22 people were still there 3 hours later. One person was possibly having a heart attack. Still no response for hours. There is no reason for this kind of treatment of our fellow human beings. What a tragedy for winter haven.
If I was to have a terrible car accident in front of this faculty, I would insist on going to another hospital!! My MIL came in through emergency by ambulance in a diabetic coma. It was 13 hours before she got a room in CICU. She was unconscious for 3 full days and developed a giant bed sore that went untreated or ignored until she went to rehab a week later. My grandmother has been in the MICU since Thursday, and the entire staff; along with Dr. Spire have taken such amazing care of her. Even when things were at their lowest point they remained compassionate, and committed to her care 100%. They have also been so empathetic and understanding with us as a very large family and have never shown an ounce of frustration. Everyone has been so kind to us and our grandmother, and your hard work and compassion hasn't gone unnoticed!
I was born in winter haven hospital my dad been there since Tuesday in there for his heart please pray for him the staff is doing a good job
If I could give zero stars I would. We have been sitting in the ER for 13 hours along with a handful of other people. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never come here again and will definitely tell everyone we know about this awful experience
My sister was admitted to the hospital on 1/7/15. We were unaware of how sick she really was. The situation looked bad. But she pulled through with the assistance of all the wonderful staff and of course God! The nurses were extremely nice and one even went as far as going out and buying her a little feel better gift. My family and I are so grateful for all that the staff did. Especially RN Michelle and Kayla you ladies are so amazing thank you the world needs more people like you two.
This is one of the worse hospitals around (HINT) go to Lakeland Hospital if you want good care.
