I went with a dislocated shoulder and waited in the waiting room for a hour, then they took me in the back to a room where I waited another 4 hours to get anything done about my situation.
Worst ER ever took a friend in and set in the Er for 6 hours before called back then another 3 hours for them to finally say they was admitting her.. Will never go there again.. Just ridiculous..
This is the worst hospital. DO NOT take your children there. I took my 1 year old because she was running a very high fever (105.6) when the doctor came in to see her the only thing he did was checked her ears and did a nose swab. They sent her home with amoxicillin and said her ear was a little red but other then that nothing was wrong. Recently visited the ER with my 20 yo autistic son. While he wound up being admitted, EVERYONE from the ER to the discharge nurse were the best! I had experiences that were not so pleasant in the past with Winter Haven Hospital, but I feel that since Baycare has taken over, there has been a change...for the better. The staff working their were so wonderful treated me real good thank you all.
They are very professional and our experience had been a good one. The only issue we have is with the parking. My husband both have disability's and walking is s problem if it is very far. Yesterday was the worst experience yet. We had to park on far end of second floor and walk all the way to elevator and then across to hospital entrance. Husband's blood pressure was sky high and my left leg which is inflicted by lymphedema was cramping. I like w/h hospital if you don't have enough insurance it's ok the bill is paid in full and they care about you
The waiting a long time is what I don't like. The staff is wonderful.
