I need to close my checking account. Somehow I feel I jumped to the big hole. 1st time rep told me continually I need to go to branch even my whole state doesn't have branch and I have repeated this a few times. After solving this issue, I was suggested to write a check to myself in order to lower the balance to 0. Wells Fargo Claim Department stated can't protest resolution and will deduct my money. Wells Fargo stated it is nothing they can do and argued the times of transaction and the time of transaction reported by other bank do NOT matter. Conclusion; Wells Fargo will not further investigate to fight for my interest and I have to pay for the error. Wells Fargo decreased my limit on my Cashwise Visa Signature card without any valid reason. I received a letter after the decrease was completed indicating I do not have a checking or savings account with them. How ridiculous. I have been a customer since 2010 and have had vehicle loans as well as a mortgage all paid off. Because of their deceptive business practices I will never do business with Wells Fargo again. I was late one time in 4.5 years, and the gave me a late fee. When I called about the relationship, they told me they would "waive" meaning give up the fee. But they did not they tacked it on to my next months payment. when I call the 2nd time they stated I was late again. and tacked on the fee again. It was explained to me that the late fee gets waived to the total amount of the loan and is dealt with the following month's summary. Just recently I opened a checking account with Wells Fargo. A month later, I started receiving emails from websites I have never visited. U also started to receiving mail from charities asking for money. The funny thing is that the mail I received is addressed exactly the same way it is listed on my Wells Fargo account. This leads me to believe that Wells Fargo is selling my personal information to third parties. I will be closing my account with them asap.

Been a customer since this was ********** ******and even earlier. Some yrs back, someone called(at my cell phone) me from the bank's security dept stating that my account had been compromised. I thought this was strange since my wife checks our account on a daily basis. The guy refused to help me over the phone even though my name is on their contact list. I have a business account with Wells Fargo. During that time, Wells Fargo has consistently scammed me with overdraft fees In a predatory way. I have multiple alarms set to check at certain times to check when they post charges, as they conveniently post charges that overdraw your account right before their time cut offs and their time cut offs change frequently. Please don't use Wells Fargo Bank. My account was fraudulently used for a wire transfer of $5000 and they refused to reimburse the money back to my account. As you can see the reviews for this bank speak volumes. You money is not safe and secure with this bank. The fraud cases against this bank is enormous. Do your research and you will get the findings. Remember you are warned.

I called ahead today regarding obtaining a safety deposit box. They quoted me prices. I specifically asked if a WF account was required. They said, no it wasn't. I am moving cities, will not be closing on my new home in 2 weeks, and wanted to store some valuables securely. When I arrived at the local branch, they stated that an account was indeed required.
