I HAD been a Wells Fargo customer since last year. In the beginning, I loved them. Everything was great. Than I got screwed over by the claims department. I had a 6 month policy with *********** *********. We terminated that policy after our premium was up. I called Wells Fargo to set up a stop payment because I didn't want to take a chance of the money coming out of my account although I had set up the stop payment. I have been banking with this bank for more than 18 years and have my retirement accounts and savings for my children. After saving for my daughter's college fund, now I am ready to take money out and have been trying to take the money out for the last 2 months with no way to take it out. I am a new Wells Fargo mortgage holder. I was about to make my first mortgage payment and went to register online in order to do that. I got an error message, so I called the number they gave me. The lady on the phone said that the only way I could set up online payment is to go to a bricks and mortar location 60 miles away! Not okay!

Poor customer service and training. Opened my case in June 2019, received a call today Oct 31, 2019 from Wells Fargo executive office that they were closing my case. It took 4 months for a solution? I was told different things by multiple people and kept getting bounced around to different departments (i can’t recall how many different people i spoke with) at one point i was told the branch manager was a busy person and doesn’t handle card complaints and that the tellers would be the ones dealing with me anyway. I was applying for a position with them and the questions they asked were completely ridiculous. Several of the required questions they asked were if I've recieved any assistance from the government. I have not, but what does that have to do with ANY person applying for the position? Does it make me better/worse?? Then they wanted me to record myself answering questions and submit the recording. Don't bank with Wells Fargo!!! They just went into my husbands account - without authorization - and STOLE money to cover for MY overdraft. WE ARE NOT LINKED IN ANY WAY!! This bank is really shady. They are not a good bank. Needless to say we will find another bank. They do have some good people work for them but the organization itself sucks. They should really close down. I agree with the other reviewer...if I could give a zero I would. I went to these people for a mortgage refinance as a customer with great credit since the rates had lowered. Needless to say I finally told them not to bother. They were horrible, unorganized, and just gave all around bad customer service. The monthly payment that the loan officer and I discussed was more than I said I wanted to pay. Then when I called him on it he had to "review the call" because he didn't remember. I had an awful experience this morning when calling the customer care number. I had some fees in my savings account that I was not familiar with, and called to get clarification on why I was charged three different times in the amount of $15. The woman (I do not recall her name, I am not even sure she stated it) explained to me it was because I went over the allowed transfers, but she would see what she could get waived. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My mother died in August. She had an IRA Investment account and my brothers and I are the beneficiaries. We have been trying to obtain the money for almost two months now. They've locked us out of the account (because POAs expire upon death), but still have not paid us our money. Everytime we deal with them they tell us everything is OK and we'll have our funds within a few business days. Then we hear nothing and have to start the process all over again.
