Overdraft Fee. I was charged a $35 fee even though I have not signed up for overdraft protection. I was told that "it is at the bank discretion" whether or not to allow payments to go through if it's "a recurring payment". I forgot I had linked this account for a recurring payment. I could have paid two months' worth of this recurring payment with the $35 fee. I am of the belief that if the account is at zero, no payment should be made. I should not be charged $35 for something I could have paid with another account. Especia... read more

I have been with Wells Fargo for over 10 years. I moved to Michigan where there are no bank locations, yet I kept my accounts with them. I checked my account on 12/27/2019 and saw that I had $82 in the bank. So I ordered groceries. The next business day (12/30/2019) I saw that I was charged 2 overdraft fees when I still had $82 in the bank. I checked my bank account today and I was -$296. I called them after looking over my account and realized that they had taken out more over draft fees. When I talked to the man on the pho... read more

My fiance and I was in the process of purchasing a new home. We was introduced to our lender (**** *****) who has now earned the nickname of ***** ****! She lead us on for 3 full months on getting our loan processed. We started off with a closing date of October 11, 2019, to later be told several other dates and also request extensions from the sellers over and over again. When asked where we were in the process, she could never give us a straight answer. My fiance is a business owner, so we understood some paperwork would b... read more

Nothing but problems with a loan account. Late fees for our first payment when paperwork was never sent in the first place. Returned check fees when paying with a non-Wells Fargo account because that account "was no longer active" when it 100% is and had more than enough to cover the payment. Terrible customer service and shady business practices.

Worst bank there is; they randomly place deposit holds, and then change their stated reasons for deposit holds 3x so they can collect interest free loans a from their depositors.

Went to bixby knolls, ca branch to get a letter for funds verification. Was told in the lobby that I had to sit with a Banker (45 min wait). Asked if someone else can provide me with the information or verify my information, would be willing to return to pick up. I was told that I had to sit with a banker, asked if the manager can do that. She said, that she was the manager and that i would have to sit with a Banker. I do not need to be profiled at their convenience to sell me another product, was also told that they would n... read more

Wells Fargo is extremely unprofessional. They overdraft my account $35 when it wasn’t negative. I call in spoke with 3 different reps including one of them being a “manager” and even she could not explain it. She would explain the policy and then say she doesn’t see how it happened but says it had to have gone negative for there to be an overdraft....but she couldn’t see nor I when or where it went in the negative. There was still over $67 in the account prior to the overdraft. And the days before my balances were higher. Wh... read more

They should have zero stars. I’m very disappointed of the fact Wells Fargo closed my bank account after being overdraft one week. What’s worst that they’re the one that made my bank account negative. Wells Fargo policy states that any bank account in a negative balance for 30 days or more will be closed. Not only is this policy misleading consumers but when I called, I spoke to a representative named ******* team lead in the overdraft dept and she didn’t know how to explain and make sense of the closure. Her response was to ... read more
