Terrible bank will tell you anything and everything you want to hear in order to sign you up as a customer, then once they have you will change the rules. I tried to deposit a check into my business account which was nearly $60,000 and they put a 7 business day hold on the money. The check was from a local escrow company and a local bank. Completely unacceptable. They try to hide behind statements that there is some post 9/11 anti-terrorism federal regulation. A good friend of mine was recentlly diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic, liver and lung cancer. He had an $100,00.00 IRA with Wells Fargo and wanted to leave it to his favorite charities. The charities included ****** ******** ****** ******** ********* ******* *** *** ***. Wells Fargo charged him $125.00 to close the IRA. In my opinion Wells Fargo is stealing money from sick people. Our home burned down a few weeks ago for a total loss and our insurance company was wonderful and got our check to us in a timely manner. We attempted to pay off our mortgage in person at a Wells Fargo bank location that deals with mortgages. We were told they could not handle such a transaction and we needed to send the check to corporate, where they would pay off the mortgage and get the overage amount back to us "sometime." I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for 12 years. I understand a overdraft fee if I draw money out of the ATM it ask you will be charge a 35.00 dollar overdraft fee then you can except or refuse the charge but when you have a positive dollar amount in your account two transactions come in the smaller amount should be paid then the larger amount next I would have been charge one fee of 35.00 dollars instead of two 35.00 dollar charges. I have had my mortgage with Wells Fargo for 3 years; never a late payment. Since losing my job I have struggled with paying but still was on time. In May, my debit card was compromised and had over $600 taken. I called Wells Fargo, but they had to look into it first even though the charges from my card were 800 miles from where I actually was and at two different gas stations charged all at the same time. Been charged with over draft fees and offered 25 percent back on two overdraft charges. First time a supervisor said that they only collected if they are 5 dollars over. Went on to explain that been charged with one in the past for a few cents and he said I was not telling the truth and wanted to see proof. I opened a secured credit card with Wells Fargo nearly 5 years ago. I placed a secured payment of $300. I was told after a year of successful payments that my security deposit will be returned to me. I have never missed a payment. I have called Wells Fargo 2-3 times per year since to request my deposit to be returned. Each time they have given me a different excuse. I will never due business with this bank ever again

Wells Fargo is the biggest Joke when it comes to Banking! *** ******* ***** ********** needs to take a hard look at this so called bank and shut them down. They have grown so large, that they have forgotten the true meaning of "Customer Service". I say this after a 17 year banking relationship with them in which ultimately ended in them closing my accounts, and I was really never given a valid reason. Wells Fargo is a horrible bank to bank with!!!!! I signed up for online banking which is supposed to keep me informed of all transactions and the current available balance. I have received three overdraft charges because my available balance showed an amount that I later found out from a customer service representative that some of the transactions may not reflect the available balance for a couple of days.
