Ive been a member with WellsFargo since 2002 and loved their services, I had a checking account, 2 savings and one credit card but as of lately I have been getting all these random charges, one specific for not having a certain amount of $ in my checking account. I walked into the Wells Fargo location in ******* Co to pay off my credit card and close all of my accounts. So i Wrote a check for $7000 dollars and Wells Fargo just pays out $10000 and when you call you get told you can’t have your money back for ten days while they investigate! Sounds like their screw up but you still have to wait!

Worst banking experience I've ever had. There was an technology error in their system that created a series of issues with my checking account and student loan payments, resulting in funds incorrectly being withdrawn from my checking account. I was passed on up the chain of supervisors at least 6 times, only to have to re-explain the situation over and over. Got a car loan through Wells Fargo Dealer Services. Paid extra $50 per month marked as "apply to principal" on the remittance slip and on the check, but was rarely applied. Paid note off early, but they kept over $2000 in extra payments made. Went to a branch near me to go over what happened. Wells Fargo associate simply said, "yes, your account has not been adjusted correctly", but offered no solution. Lousy service, and very crooked.

Why must I--your CUSTOMER-- log-in TWICE to Wells Fargo online system, to gain access to my account(s)? As a widely published computer hardware and software designer and writer myself, I understand GOOD practices that fulfill both WF and Customer security and convenience. DETAILS: First, you demand my user name and password, which is reasonable. This company is not helpful and is corrupt as they come. I attempted to use a line of credit that I had more than enough of and was told the wrong information resulting in using savings I really didn't want to tap into. I look forward to the day that the account is paid off, and don't have to deal with their incompetence. Horrible company!!

Wells Fargo put a hold on my account and sent me a new debit card without notifying me. I had an authorization charge on my account, and when I asked Wells Fargo to give me info, they told me it was not an authorization (when it was). I was told to call the company and ask for them to fax a release over to Wells Fargo. The company said they did that. I was able to use my card for three days after I spoke to Wells Fargo. I would like to give 0 stars. We sold a home to pre-approved buyers through Wells Fargo. The mortgage broker (*** ***** ********** **) - did not return calls - did not get the appraisal done and report back before closing - DENIED HIS pre-approved clients their loan that was under the approved amount - After we had a great local banker help this young couple with a few items and get their approval, HE would not release the appraisal and wanted them to give the loan back to him!!!! I realize that banks are designed to insidiously steal people's money, but Wells Fargo excels at this in a variety of cruel and frustratingly insipid ways. In the four years I had accounts with them they: Charged fees for checks as if they bounced, took the money for the check and the fees, then charged a fee for paying the check, if that makes any sense.
