Negative: My husband currently has a debit/credit card with Wells Fargo and they have advised that the limit is only $2000 a day, but when asked to raise the limit we are told it can not happen. We asked why since every week $5000 goes into the account and was told by 4 not 1, but 4 Supervisors that is the policy. I called twice today for help. The first time was because I made a payment on a credit card at 2pm of the due date and they still charged me late fee of $80. The second time I called was to ask for my account # that I couldn't view on the mobile app. The representaive was very rude she made me feel like I was waisting her time. I don't want to be a costumer if I am going to be treated like this. They overcharge , I regret getting a student credit card with them. Its a never ending payment. My son has a checking and savings account with Wells Fargo totaling over $10,000. If his balance goes below $300 in the Savings account, he gets hit with a $10.00 fee and if he falls below $1,500 in his checking account, he gets hit with a fee, I asked if they could be linked since he had way over the balance on both accounts. I received the "this is our policy" from three levels of customer service. Our local bank requires a $200 balance. See you later Wells Fargo.

Don't trust Wells Fargo. I was forced into using them since my ******** account was purchased by them. Ever since then, they've made many mistakes. Most recent one - and the straw that broke the camel's back is that they "accidentally" converting my grandfathered account that had NO fees (when I specifically told them not to convert it - they have it recorded!) so that it now has monthly fees. Their bank tellers also advertise accounts with no fees for cashier's checks or money orders, which turns out do not exist. When they... read more

After disputing a few late payments the ended up adding 3 years of FALSE LATE PAYMENTS . This has put my 640 credit score to a low 550,540,570. It not only made me look bad when shopping for a New home it caused my loan to be denied from the errors Wells Fargo made. I have filed many disputes and nothing has changed seeking legal help currently because my lawyers advised me I'm not the only victim they have also denied minorities home loans in Oakland and countless scandals regarding mortgage fraud, unauthorized accounts. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with this company. From when I first started paying my student loans to making payments accurately, to even giving me false information on my loans as well. I cannot say a single thing good about them. They have messed up numerous times with sending an accurate credit score. The list can go on and on about how much one should steer away. I wish I would have known this before taking out student loans with them because now I am in a situation that I cannot get out of.

I think it is extremely obscured that I am required to produce a marriage license in order to get my name changed on my account when I am inside of your branch with a new valid drivers license showing a new name. I do not understand how it only takes a valid driver license to initially open an account with your bank but in order to change my name on an existing account I am told I need to reorder a certified copy of my marriage license if I do not have one. Wells fargo failed to collect money for my property taxes when they purchased my mortgage from another company. I ended up having to pay the entire amount that should have been in escrow. That was 2 yrs ago. Today they called to say that I need to fund the escrow account again because it is low by $2800 - but my taxes and insurance have only increased by $1500. They have consistently mismanaged the escrow account causing me hardship. If I could afford to refinance to get away from them I would.
