I have a checking account and a secured credit card with Wells Fargo. I requested a limit increase on my secured credit card and the funds were being transferred from my Wells Fargo Checking account. For what ever reason they originally said it would take 5-7 business days. I wanted to make sure everything would be completed before I left to go on my vacation. I called 5 business days later to follow up because I did not see my credit limit increase, they now tell me its going to take 7-10 business days which means my funds ... read more

I rolled over my 401k in September of 2015. A teller deposited a 7k rolled over check and I saw it go into the investment account and then reversed in September of 2015. They didn't know where the funds went. After several calls they finally told me to call my old investment company. They said my balance was zero; however, after researching for a couple days my old investment company determined the check was never actually deposited. They cancelled the original check and sent a new one. This delayed my fund entering the mark... read more

I recently received a letter from the IRS regarding a possible fraudulent tax filing and was asked to call them to verify. After calling the IRS and verifying that it indeed was a fraudulent filing, i was able to get the bank routing and account number that was on the form. I tracked this to a Wells Fargo bank in another state. I called one of the many fraud numbers on the Wells Fargo site and waited over 15-20 mins to get a banking agent on the phone. After explaining what happened they were able to confirm for me that the ... read more

From *** ** California What a shame to see how low Wells Fargo has fallen.. Shame on you ****** ******. This institution is little more than a bunch of liars and thieves. I recently made a large deposit to a personal checking account. When I was about to make the deposit, the teller informed me they would be holding a significant potion for 7 business days. I said that was unacceptable and would take my business elsewhere. A banker appeared and stated that they would make the funds available when the funds were transferred t... read more

Decided to use Well's Fargo for a business account for a side business I run. I opened the account at the beginning of 2018, and had received a letter within 30 days stating the account was going to be closed, no explanation given. I called and spoke to someone who said that letter was invalid and the account was in good standing. Log on today and find the account closed. I called, and the loss prevention group provided no explanation as to why it closed, and said the rep I spoke to previously was lying. What a horrible expe... read more

I work for an insurance agency and many of our customers have their homeowners' insurance paid through their monthly mortgage/loan companies. We work with many lenders and Wells Fargo is by far the WORST. They are constantly making mistakes and trying to blame anyone but themselves. If you have your taxes/insurance included in your monthly mortgage payments to Wells Fargo, check them closely. Chances are, they're incorrect and you could be paying too much!! If you do have a problem, expect rudeness and a lack of response fro... read more

Absolutely horrible bank. Examples of how: •Tons of hidden fees. •Racist, adversarial, and flat out deplorable telephone customer service representatives and branch representatives. •”A Premier banking team” for those with high assets who are even more impersonal, abrasive, and rancid than the “normal” banking team-the “Premier Bankers” will hang up on you, yell at you, laugh at you, make racist remarks under their breath, will give you an unnecessary amount of attitude, and will give you the run around. They can not resolve... read more

I went in to open an account and this branch with a payroll check. They did use all procedures with me to verify if it was fraudulent, BUT the manager was rude, intrusive, accusatory, humiliating with the questions she interrogated me with for an hour. This was dont in front of other employees and customers. As well as when i went back to get paperwork for my check. Also threatened to call the cops on me while my infant was with me for failure to provide personal information not relevant to me and that she did not need. I ca... read more
