I called Wells Fargo about a fraud case with an on line purchase that I paid for with my Wells Fargo debt card. They put the stolen money back in my account. For weeks later they sent me a letter saying they were taking the monkey back out of my account because I had not supplied them with the proper "requested information" that they asked for AFTER the initial complaint. They never asked for ANY additional information after that first call. I don't know who the money went to... But, it's gone now.
DO NOT take a student LOAN with this organization; they are the definition of Predatory lenders! Their loan policies are ridiculous, wanting to ultimate collect 120% in interest on a STUDENT loan! Not a mortgage, where it would be expected; but a student loan, which means the student will be paying for at least 15 years! Does this make sense? I have a 2nd mortgage with Wells Fargo with an 8.75% interest after my husband past away I applied for a hardship loan and was turned down I didn't qualify 3 times I tried. My question was never answered on what qualifies you for a hardship loan not only that they wouldn't even lower my interest rate I would never deal with this bank again. that interest rate is ridiculous and they will not help me because out of a $600 payment $150 goes to payment the rest is interest. They are a greedy bank.
I have had so many problems with this bank over the last couple of years. Watch out for excessive fees and be careful if you add over draft protection it is one more way to get you an 35.00 fee. I only used my account for business with a supplier for 5 months out of the year. Left Florida and went to TX and had over 100.00 in the account with no plans to use the account. Just the absolute worst company in the entire world. They have my world in a total tailspin. They paid my account balance in full. It put my checking account negative 3000 dollars in the hole. They cannot give me my funds back for 10 business days. They have tried to take the payment out in full multiple times, after telling them not to multiple times. I have had this bank for 12 years. I don't want to get into details because my time is money but basically their customer service does not exist. They could care less on a local basis who you are. The most recent issue is that after depositing 3rd party insurance checks with my business name and customers name on check they will not do it anymore. I have never had a problem and no exceptions are made. They told to find another bank. They are the worst. . All the bank I found said a copy of the 3rd party ID is fine with them.... read more
I had a horrible mistake to open business account with Wells Fargo. Deposits take up to 5 Business Days, especially when you are small business trying to pay here there, and working hard. Every other check that deposited in to this bank, gets hold, and partially deposits, it messes up everything. My husband and I have been loyal customers to Wells Fargo for years. We run millions of dollars through their bank each year. We tolerate their problems with technology and turnover of staff with a patient attitude as we understand not everything in life can be perfect and instantaneous. I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for quite a while now. With my previous auto purchase Wells Fargo was my loan provider. Someone hit my car and ended up totaling it. My insurance paid off the loan leaving an overage on the account. Wells Fargo has yet to send me that overage amount, although they have confirmed with me that they received the necessary information from my insurance company, it has almoat been a year and my loan account is still at a negative (meaning the bank owes me money) balance.
