WellCare is a horrible company. I have been seeing the same provider for over 20 years now, I am unable to see any of my providers at the current facility because WellCare would not cover the provider visits. Also when calling into customer service the phone line is garbled and you can barely understand what anyone is saying. I wish that I could not leave any star but I am forced to leave at least one star rating when this company deserves worse than that.
I signed up with Wellcare just for this benefit but I have not received it all year, although it should have began January, 2022. I have had the same experience with Wellcare as others here. Whenever I have tried to call Wellcare about my 'giveback' benefit I am put on hold several times during the call, for long periods of time, only to be told they will 'look into it' and call me back. WellCare does not resolve any issues, they say they will work on finding a resolution and never do - total bureaucracy - quickly jumps to saying they have never received any of the forms sent by s or the physician and deny claims - conflicting information when you call them, every day is a different story - very frustrated, cannot wait until Ocotber 15th gets here to shop for a better plan.

I wanted to change my address and find a new physician the man put me on hold twice for over an HR stating I'm looking for you a physician and making you an appointment but having trouble I statated I was a nurse over 20 years I'm capable of making my own appointment then ge told me there was not service in this area and I proceeded to rip into him about putting me on hold for over an HR trying to make me an appointment then I asked where are u located he stated the Philippines what a mess fraudulent lying sack of ****

Wellcare medicare advantage plans are totally lacking in customer service - representatives , supervisors , + grievance administrators are most non professional , poorly trained + nonresponsive of any organization i have ever dealt with - they specialize in lies , broken promises , , + ignorance of their written policies - inconceivable to me that Medicare + state insurance commissions allows them to operate -
Wellcare is a substandard medical insurance company. I have tried to change my PCP. I picked a doctor, was told by doctors office and Wellcare that doctor was in network. New I D card came with wrong doctors name on it. Called Wellcare 13 times taking hour after hour of being put on hold only to be told that the doctor I chose was not in network. Wellcare has made a major error in my monthly drug summary, claiming they paid for a drug that I did not pick up. I have been on hold for an hour with the worst muzak ever. This is an error that puts me in the Medicare coverage gap after they claim they paid $1567 for a prescription that was cancelled. How can this problem be fixed?????
6 days ago I contacted Wellcare to be able to send them a form required by the French Social Security agency. It is a simple form requesting the name, address, date that it was signed and certifying that I am covered by health and pharmaceutical insurance in the United States. An ink stamp is required on that form and it must be returned to France by July 8th. Last Thursday I spent over 1 hour on the phone being shifted from one person to another, disconnected and then having to go through the same rigamarole all over again.... read more

I changed my Medicare to Wellcare. At first it was great at filling my prescriptions at a tiered copayment I could afford, but after filling them one 90 days they changed the tier to one I could no longer afford. Then they gave me their alternative to the prescription for my new Dr. to prescribe which doesn't have a copayment. I'm thinking that this is what they do to get people change to them. I in my opinion needs to be investigated. It's happening far too many times.
