They cheated me by saying drug out of pocket was $33.00 and they charged me 538.00. I filed grievances with them and Medicare and I was told that there is nothing they can do. They refused to let me return the drug unopened, They are crooks
Engage WellCare only if you have hours to spend getting a polite runaround.I am a reasonably informed person. I had surgery, w/ an overnight hospital stay. During the almost two day stay I was handed meds and water by a nurse. I ingested them. WellCare has to be the worst company to due business with. After spending over 3hrs on the phone with them and being transferred over 20 times back and forth between USS and who knows where. My issue is still unresolved. There is absolutely no way to escalate an issue or speak with someone who can actually help you. There is very little chance that your issue will be addressed,
Never, never do business with WellCare. They are impossible to get on the phone and do not reply to letters. I canceled WellCare effective December 31, 2022, but they continued to take premiums out of my bank account. They do not reply to my multiple letters with proof of my cancelation and demanded a refund. No refund, no communication from WellCare. I consider WellCare a FRAUD organization.
My very disabled son has been on a high dose of morphine for a decade . He has an awful,non curable bone infection . They increased his morphine but WellCare took a week denying ,now on a Friday ,they finally approve but heading into the weekend and it has to be ordered,no one keeps that dose on hand. He ll suffer 3 more days. I hate WellCare with my whole being.
I switched from my previous plan in 2022. I strongly regret it. Congestive heart failure is a family trait. I had a double bypass in 2020. I am number 5 out of 6 siblings to have open heart surgery. At age 66 and stroke patient I experienced a chest pain and was kept overnight at the hospital for test. Wellcare would not pay for overnight stay and one of the reasons was because they said I did not have a heart attack. It's the worst coverage for meds I've ever had, when I call to speak with someone they can barely speak English, I take a pain med at night and they refuse to pay, another pain med they refuse, but my book says they do, call and no speaking English idiot names my list of meds they do pay! Its rediculous that I have to go thru this at 70 yrs old!!@

I had WellCare Medicare insurance. I was seeing a Dentist back in2020 through 2022. The whole time I was seeing this Dentist I was never told that I had any balance due. So I assumed that WellCare had been taking care of all of the costs!! Now in 2023 I get a letter from a collection service for $1700.00. I contacted the Dentist and to my surprise I find that WellCare never paid this Dentist a red cent!!! They submitted and resubmitted and were never paid. ???? Amazing, I tried to be understanding and patient with this company because these times have been difficult during the pandemic. But omg… they are sooooo not good. Customer Service based in the Philippines, with chickens noises in the background… they’re trained to be polite but not really to provide service ??????????????. So frustrating. Their payment book(s) inconsistent and incorrect ??????????????. They ought to be put out of Hawaii’s business realm ??????????????.
