I find this company to be a scam. They denied and denied prescription that are needed for progressive MS. And they lie. It needs a zero star. Beware! My mothers plan was canceled for nonpayment because they had the incorrect ZIP Code. They said they tried to call and send letters however they were never received. The phone number was incorrect as well. After speaking to someone who was actually nice this time, my mother was denied reinstatement. I PRAY FOR PAINFUL CANCER UPON THE EXECUTIVES AND THEIR FAMILIES ????????

my wife and I were on a cruise on the inside passage of Alaska. We both caught a virus and were prescribed medication by the ships Medical Center. Instead of filing it with our insurance companies, they told us we had to file it. My wife filed with Kaiser and they paid. I filed with WellCare and they turned it down, saying I was in international not in the US. I disputed the claim and re-filed showing clearly that the insight passage is considered Alaska. Wellcare required preauthorization for even the most routine drug. My doctor prescribed cyclobenzaprine for a "gardening" backache and it took 2 days to clear all the hurdles BY PAYING CASH OUT OF POCKET because they did not review their own paperwork for 2 days, while I alternate ice and heat and wait in pain. I understand that Wellcare has a process for addressing dissatisfied customers, but that process does not ameliorate the problem - which is Wellcare likes to save money by denying service.

My doctor prescribed cyclobenzaprine for a "gardening" backache and it took 2 days to clear all the hurdles BY PAYING CASH OUT OF POCKET because they did not review their own paperwork for 2 days, while I alternate ice and heat and wait in pain. Hello. We apologize for the dissatisfaction that you experienced. The plan attempted to contact the member regarding their concerns and member did not want to speak to us. The member was then sent an email educating them on the prior authorization process required for their prescription drug.
My complant is with WellCare a medicare presciption drug plan. I would not even give one star to this company. I am in need of a certain medication and this company has denied it under fales pretense claiming my dr. did not send in all the information needed.After checking with my dr. all information was faxed to them but they are denying it. On June 1st I went into Wegmans to fill a prescription. I learned at that time that my Wellcare policy had been cancelled on May 31st? I went home immediately and called Wellcare. They explained that the reason for my termination was because I had not paid the $2.30 premium for 5 months- I was CANCELLED and they will NOT reinstate! I explained that there should not be any problem because it was being taken directly out of my social security so this must obviously be a mistake. I am having a very hard time in reaching out Well Care agent. The keep transferring me and put me in hold for long period of time. They send me a check of $133,97 from Express Scripts, the check was misplaced by the mailman I received the check late. The bank did not accept the check because the 180 days passed. I contacted Well Care, and they have me long time waiting an no results. The same with my doctor, they don't want to cover my co-payments.
