My son went for a eye check up and contacts tryout at Vision works on 30th December 2021. Instead of giving a clear solution for washing his eyes they poured hydrogen peroxide in his eyes. He was in extreme pain for three days and the attendant and nurse were clueless as to what was going on. This is gross negligence and things would have been more drastic if the doctor did not intervene within half an hour and wash his eyes. My two sons and I went to the vision works on ****** Plaza, to make one of their eye exam appointments and after walking in how cold it got. Where African American and I guess we were a threat to everyone working there, including who I now know is the manager *****. He acted as if he was being nice but very condescending, he blatantly showed he did not value us as first time patients/customers, and I guess he felt he needed to keep an eye on us so he told us there was not enough room for us in the back...Not true. Called prior to appt to verify they were in-network. Was told yes (and it was listed as in-network on my insurance website). Had appt and went to lay my copay after appt and was told itd be $59 bc they were out-of-network. Explained I called and verified on insurance site that they were in-network. The front desk lady (older, brownish hair, wears glasses, skinny) said that was incorrect and they were out-of-network and that shed give me a discount and the lowest she could do was $44.10. The bow on my glasses came off. I took it to visionworks. Quickly she said it was a broken hing. Then quoted me $200 for a new pair of glasses. I left went home and had a better look. The hing was not broken. It was a small metal bar that had slid out of a piece of metal. I glued it. I want to say that this is like new. It folds and sets just as before. This store has continually let me down. I would not have returned to this store but I originally purchased them from there. I will purchase any new glasses from a more honest... read more

They took over $1000 in payment for glasses (4) They lost my very expensive Bose Frames and now are refusing refund !!!

I had an appointment 5 weeks, ago to get an eye exam, and purchase new glasses. I brought my old frame to have the lens changed, and purchased a new pair of sunglasses. It took over two week for me to receive my sunglasses (ill fitting, told the person behind the counter, he just bent the sides only) My glasses I had left weren't ready, I tried calling multiple times, with no response. Very disappointed as I was lost in the mall for a couple of minutes. Tried calling for location and a recorded message would not put me through. Finally found the board with store info and had to run to the outside of the mall at the opposite end. Got there at 10:39 stood behind a lady and two kids like 4 to five minutes and receptionist never even looked up because she was on a call. Horrible service at the Visionworks location in Hintington station, **. First of all, nobody answers the phone. I have been on hold over half hour at least 3 times on multiple days. I had an appointment today, 12/13/21 at 12 noon. There was only one eye doctor at this location. My appointment was at 12 noon and tge doctor was still seeing someone from a prior appointment until 12:30 pm. Then I find out that they had 3 appointments at 12 noon but there was only one day who cannot see 3 patients at the same time. The front des... read more
