I wish I could give them 0 stars. I had scheduled an appointment several weeks ago for my son at the Hamburg ** store. I received a call on 7/29/21 stating that I needed to call because there was an issue with my insurance for his appointment the next day. I call only to be told that when they tried to get authorization the insurance said my kids were not on the policy. I had my insurance card in hand with their names on it and called my insurance to verify. My insurance told me that my kids did in fact have insurance and to... read more

Worst experience and I care ever Went to purchase my glasses and the vision specialist tried to sell me everything except for the glasses that I wanted after Purchasing them for $470 I only had them a few months and got a scratch across the lenses when I went back in the store they looked at my account and said I did not purchase the insurance on the glasses which was never explained I asked if I could get just the lenses replaced and they quoted me $485 for Replacement lenses which I declined After I left the store I drove ... read more

Horrible service! Store has too many people. In my opinion, not safe. Although staff will tell you they clean glasses after each try. We found this not to be true! As we waited for a **** time, we saw people trying glasses and putting them back. Hmmm, in these days of covid, you would think that the staff would be MUCH MORE *******! There is nothing, in my opinion, about this place that is worth going for. In addition, Visionworks is owned by ***! ******** of intetest????? I went in on June 16th 2021 for an eye exam for contacts and four glasses. While getting my exam done I was advised I would have to take a class in order for me to obtain the contacts needed. I was scheduled to come in the following day, June 17th 2021, at 3:40 p.m.. when I got there for my appointment, I went to the front desk and told them I was there for the class. My husband had an appt at the vision works in east knoxville, tn this afternoon. He told them he wants to get out of there as cheap as possible several times. On the phone and in person they said the copay is $10 and he might have to pay $13 for the 3 boxes of contacts. He said that is fine. They did the eye exam. He went to checkout and she said that will be $63. He said what is they for and she said there is a $50 contact fitment charge. Vision Works in Homewood, IL from the time you enter the store, the customer service is terrible. I ordered some glasses on May 3, 2021........I called to check the status of receiving them on May 29, 2021. I was told the glasses had been in since May 8, 2021; however no one called me to let me know the glasses were in. When I get to the store I was told they called me........No they didn't, then she goes to say well we sent out a text........No they didn't. After making a 10:20 am appointment months in advance, I showed up at the Visionworks location at 10:15 am to find that the mall doors to access the store were locked. I called Visionworks to ask how to get into the building and they said the doors open at 10:30 am. I explained that my appointment was scheduled for 10:20 and they told me to wait and they'd try to have someone let me in. Around 10:35 am someone from security opened the doors. I went in for an eye exam several days ago, and the employee was having trouble getting a reading on the machine with my glasses. I was asked if my prescription glasses were 'readers', as the employee pressed the lens directly to the machine several times and moved my glasses back and forth. In the exact spot where she was running my lenses through the machine, there is now visible damage to the coating of my lens. When I noticed the damage, I went back into the store.
