I've been a customer for 20 years and they used to be one of the best. Sadly, they have dropped drastically in customer service, shipments arriving extremely late and some of the quality that they put out. I thought I was done with this company around Christmas 2020 when my packages didn't arrive for almost a month. They blamed the pandemic and the USPS. Venus is illegally stealing from their customers who try to make returns. They will not issue you the full amount you are due, hoping you won't check your credit card statement and notice. When asked about it they tell you it's a "restocking fee". I told them the restocking fee is NOT disclosed in their return policy, WHICH IT HAS TO BE UNDER CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW, and they still won't refund me the rest of the amount I am owed. I have had an account with Fingerhut for over 15 years and over that period of time, built up a fair credit line. I too had received numerous letters with temporary credit line increases with the caveat that I had to make a purchase equal to that amount for it to become permanent and every time this happened, my credit score would take a minor hit. Fingerhut is very tricky it can help to raise your credit however when they give you a credit increase you have to use the amount they increased your credit by a certain time usually within about two months so if they give you 300 or 1000 dollars more credit if you do not use the entire increase with in the following 2 months they lower your credit by the amount that you DID NOT use which ends up lowering your credit score tremendously. I recently made a purchase of clothing on the Blair site. Once the purchase was made and debit card information was entered an add was suggested to join the VIP membership plan and save $15.00 on the next purchase. When you click on the add, which does not indicate any charge, you are automatically joined to VIP with a charge of $1.99 for the first month and $14.99 for additional months. Fingerhut has issued a temporary credit increase yet again with the demand that to keep the increase, which has been reported to the credit agencies, I must purchase more stuff from them otherwise they will report to the credit agencies that my credit limit has decreased. They have done this numerous times and each time my credit score suffers. I think Fingerhut should listen to customers complaints and learn how to resolve the issues they present. I ordered a set of bathroom carpets which only 1/2 came in. They credited me back very a minimal amount of money. I ordered the carpets a 2nd time and yet again, only 1/2 of them came in. with no credit back. I am not ordereing them the 3rd time.
