The docs and nurses at the VA ER have saved my life five times when I had pneumonia and septic shock. Being hospitalized is never fun. As a retired RN BSN I can say the care I have received has been very professional and caring.
My new right hearing aid died a couple of days ago. I was seen the next day (yesterday). The tech agreed that it was dead and said he would send it to the manufacturer for repair. Should have it back in about 2 weeks
The Portland VA has so helpful and friendly they follow up on with phone calls I don't dread going there Doctors and nurses very understanding
The staff always gives me excellent care. My only negative comment is the length of time it takes to get the excellent care. Waited 2 weeks for an orthopedic surgeon to see me to explain what was happening to my broken ankle. Once finally there, they were kind, explained everything and answered all my questions.
The Dr in Infectious disease (Dr Susan) is wonderful! Someone dropped the ball on scheduling my husbands bone biopsy. She was visibly upset because it was not done before our appt. She got on the phone and got it scheduled for Thursday this week. When I took him to the ER and he was really ill....infection Osteomylitis, atrial fib and other problems, too many to count. Within 1 hour of hitting the door he had been triaged and in a room, with lab and EKG done, X-rays ordered and.....saw the MD. Now that's record time! I know ... read more
The medical staff was outstanding. The were insightful, knowledge, caring, and very helpful. I would come here again!
Always treated with kindness and respect. Can't say I ENJOY the "visit" but I don't dread it.
Efficient,friendly caring people. Cafeteria food was good ,hot.
Based on this visit. The efficiency, customer service, doctors and nurses treating my husband like a human and being actually personable and animated besides competent was appreciated and we told them as well. Good job Portland VA day surgery!!
