I give the Portland VA 4.8 stars...only because the wait time to see specialty clinic is pretty long. Great care and the staff are excellent.
Too man veteran for one hospital. We need one in central Oregon to help veterans in . Washington State Oregon and Idaho
I took my husband to ER we waited four hours to see a DR! The DR said four hours is actually not a bad wait time really??????? If you are the person in charge of running the ER you should be fired! Your staff should not ever think that waiting four hours to see a DR is exceptable! If the problem is you need more staff hire them. If the problem is you need more rooms build them. I don't care what the problem is fix it!!!! Our veterans deserve way better!!!
I had to come in for an appointment with an opthamologist. Honestly, this was the easiest and least painful visit I've ever had with the VA!
I have had excellent medical treatment since the first time I signed up. Easy to get appointments, caring, understanding staff. I do not see needing any additional outside services or insurance. The VA has given me the finest medical service ever.
The system does need to be tightened up a bit. Waited 10 minutes for the clerk to check me in for my appointment. The customer service of some of the people at the check-ins/outs really needs to improve. We are the Veterans and should be treated like we are of the utmost importance at that moment. Talking on private phones, reading, telling us just a minute and 5 minutes later getting the same response, is not acceptable. They are the first people we see on appointment day. I am so grateful for the amazing doctors, nurses and staff that have taken care of my mother. I am impressed with the impeccable care, compassionate nurses, and attentive staff. I am truly blessed to know the employees here truly care about their patients.
I live in Eastern Oregon but drive to Portland VA for any major procedures, the staff is considerably more caring and compassionate than Seattle VA hospital
All the Dr's and nurses here are so great! Treat everyone with such respect and always thank us for our service! The foods not that bad either!😃
