Portland VA hospital is amazing! They went above and beyond September 2018 when my husband had a brain tumor. They made me feel equally as important as my husband. The ICU nurses were very friendly and knew their jobs very well. Next day recovery floor nurses were very helpful with all questions we had. Pharmacist explained everything prior to discharge. OHSU is connected via sky bridge with a 24hr cafeteria, VA has a cafeteria with limited hours both have good food. Cant say enough great things about this place.
I personally feel grateful to have this as a medical option for my overall personal health.

ER Doctors joking and laughing about their patients and their weekends. Disclosing information about patients that are violating our privacy. Negligent with their care, not even listening to the patient only reading their chart notes and predetermining the amount of pain I CAN be in. I regret my military service because of the care and treatment I’ve received from this VA and ALL army doctors. You criminals. Should all be behind bars!
I’ve been using the Portland V/A healthcare’s system for over ten years and they have been giving me top shelf service. They give me top of the line hearing aides, three pair over the last ten years, replaced my right knee, taken care of my back, my kidney stones, given me several pairs of glasses and when I cut my face with a chainsaw a couple of years ago and I was life flighted to Washington Southwest medical center, the V/A picked up my bill including a $32,000 helicopter ride.
