Dallas va is the worst, the doctors yawn while your telling them what's wrong. I could go on but I don't have time.
Went tp Dallas VA Monday for appt .Did my lab and after 1 and 1/2 hours went to clinic and while checking in got a phone call cancelling my appt. Went today for a cat scan and when i checked in was told to go to lab. Another 1 and 1/2 hours. Got back to clinic and ask how long,was told it would be after labs were back.I told the cleck i had to be in Richardson for radiation on my nect by 2 pm, So after waiting 45 mins,i left .Two days I will not gfet back and still need those appt. The VA thinks all we have is time
Excellent customer service from every employee and volunteer I encountered. I had a Driver Training consult with Ms. Shirley Chapman in PM&R. She's amazing! Knowledgeable, efficient, and great communication skills. I expected the parking to be a nightmare based on the reviews, but the valet parking system ran like a well-oiled machine. They helped me unload and load my chair and told me exactly what to do since this was my first visit. I was struck by the friendliness. I know the VA hospitals have taken a big hit lately, but I'd like to thank your staff for taking care of my dad when he had his heart surgery. Hoping all our veterans can get the help they need.
This VA refused to admit my husband with his service dog. He has never had the issue before. He was admitted less than 30 days ago with his service animal. She made no problems. The hospital staff even didn't know she was there. This VA goes against the Veteran Affairs regulations that states " they will remain in compliance with all federal regulations " dated August 27,2016. My husbands service dog is his medical device. First of all, I have had no problem with the medical staff at the Dallas VA. What I have had problems with is the Bureaucratic nonsense that calls itself the rest of the Dallas VA. I have to block entire days of my schedule off, because they can't possibly send me to a civilian facility nearby, when I pass two on the way to the commuter train to get to Dallas... They set me for a 1300 appointment and I get there 15 minutes prior to find out that I have to have bloodwork for an MRI, (wtf), that will take an hour to get result... read more
The Dallas VA is the worst medical system I have ever experienced. In 2013 I broke my collarbone in half. For a year I waited for it to heal. Had x-rays but had to wait 8 hours in the waiting room. They are super stingy on any pain meds. After a year I had a golf ball sized knot sticking out of my neck and an 8mm gap in the bone but they said I was good to go. This morning around 5:50AM CST a kind, gentle man known to most of us as Uncle Bill ended his suffering while surrounded by his wife, his children, his older sisters, and his dog. Uncle Bill was an Air Force Vet of the late Korean War and early Viet Nam War eras. He worked hard all his life and was loved by all he encountered. Uncle Bill had just recently entered hospice (Charlie Company) at the Dallas VA Hospital.
