Pissed spend 2 hours for a CT scan when I had a appointment at 2pm didn’t get seen until 4pm pure madness.
The ER is definitely improved. I've used it several times in the past 6 years and this time was the best experience so far. I wish the ER doc's name was on my paperwork. She was great!
So far so good- I'm happy with the VA hospital.
I had a good experience yesterday. Had some scheduled appointments and some that were walk in and was seen quickly for all of them. It was especially nice for me that for once it wasn't questioned that I deal with constant pain. Maybe the fact that I wasn't wanting narcotics helped with them believing that I wanted help to deal with the constant pain.
Just to get one thing done simple from their to the ER and then stayed 10hr is some Bullshit they are under staff and for some it's just a pay check it sad that you have to go to the head of the hospital to get something done don't get me wrong there are some good people there that do try and help you but it's only so much they can do that bull we should not have to go through that bad service
I haven't any problems recently with the VA that are major issues. I do have a complaint about the wait times in the clinic to actually see the doctor. I appreciate them taking time to spend listening to patients and my doctor seems very good, but if your appointment is at 1, you check in and then still have to sit for 2 hours or so to be seen. That's annoying. They need to look at places like the Mayo Clinic and see how they run things.
I've never had any major problems with getting whatever I need from the VA.
You need to get old people like me that have a hard time driving a good way to get to the hospital. You have to call 30 days ahead of time to get a ride. You need better service at Dallas.
I'm learning that either I take the risk of going broke using my own medical insurance for carr, or go crazy trying to deal with the some of inadequate staff at the Dallas VA. Either way, I loose. I have unresolved issues dealing with medical issues, wasted trips, travel pay and claims. Yet they put the entire burden on the patient. I pride myself on follow up, but documentation and emails written all the way up the top of the chain has been a complete waste of time.
