Would have given a much higher rating but as most of us know the wait times suck and most of the staff is pretty cool. Also after watching a 90 year old WWII veteran suffering in a corner for well over an hour to be checked in, put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. They did almost pass up my number after waiting 2.5 hrs. Definitely like the layout better than the Boise VA :)
Think that they don't care for the pass month they have given me wrong meds or not send them at all. Can't get a honest answer they barely call back all I get is a ring after ring or voice mail. They give me instructions for how to care for myself but won't provide you with what you need. Thinking about having consumer news contact them to see if I can get help. I hear a lot of negative about the VA I now I see why!!!
Out of all the experiences I had at VA medical centers, the Dallas VA is the best! While a few bad apples won't spoil my opinion(they're everywhere), I must say that all of my interactions with the medical staff here have been positive, especially the staff in 5C-100. They were very caring and sympathetic while I had a stay there with cardiac issues. Thank you for being very communicative and showng me what exemplary care is.
Fucking sucks.....the really don't care about us. Most are there just to get a check.
I've had, and will continue to have, appointments here. Never a bad experience. Great Dr's, Nurse's & support staff. It can be a challenge to find a parking spot close to the building but the shuttle service is frequent enough that even parking isn't really that big of an issue. Thank you to everyone involved at the Dallas VA Hospital. Semper Fi.
Travel pay!!! Waiting more than 8 weeks, the va owes my husband for 12 trips, why does it take so long? were on limited income and need the money to make more trips to the Va...90% disabled and has heart problems! Dont need this stress!

I've read several comments from both sides of the spectrum and for tge most part a theme rings out on both sides....the check in staff. Now, I am fortunate I haven't experience this issue yet, but I know some who have. I will say i have noticed a difference in the the workers who are veterans, or have veteran family vs those who aren't and don't.
