RecommendedIve spent the last few days as a patient on the 5th floor at NTVA. I just wanted everyone to know the staff has spoiled me. everyone is so nice. I notice the same courtousy throughout the hospital. There is a spirit that is alive and very pleasant with everyone I have encountered consistently for the past 12 years that I have been treated here. To the staff, thank you!
I stopped for a pop after work at the gas station by my house, a guy was in front of me being a little slow which I didn't mind. He moved aside and motioned me to go ahead, I said no I don't mind waiting I don't want to get in your space. He turned all the way around when I noticed him holding up his arm, and it was obviously hurt, big cut on his arm which was a dog bite, swollen the size of a softball. RecommendedI recently had surgery at the Dallas VA. It’s usually very easy to be critical and complain. Despite a few hiccups with scheduling, I had one of the best experiences as far as how I was treated by your staff. From the Vascular surgical team, to the Neurosurgical team, and all of the nurses, cleaning staff, and PT personnel were just awesome... Just hung up after being on hold for 1:02:39. Why is it so hard for y’all to answer the phones? Every time I call it’s at least 30 minutes of hold time. All I need to do is schedule a wheelchair repair. Thank goodness it’s nothing actually important...

When they bill you for services you'd better pay it off ASAP or, without notice, they'll turn your unpaid balance over to collections and whatever government pay you're receiving will be garnished. Even though I've made regular payments, they've done it to me twice, and the Dept of Treasury has taken money out of my Social Security benefits. I'm be thankful when I turn 65 so I can switch to Medicare and the VA will never bend me over again.
